CONTENT STANDARD The learners demonstrate understanding about the different formats on how to acknowledge citations by preparing a Bibliography. PERFORMANCE STANDARD The learners use writing conventions to indicate acknowledgement of resources. COMPETENCIES The learners write the correct format of bibliography for different reference materials. EN10SS-Iie-1.6.4

OBJECTIVES : Cite sources in different reference materials. Apply the format in different resources. TIME FRAME: 2 meetings

TASK 1: WHY DO WE CITE SOURCES? The class will be divided into four (4) groups. Have them discuss the following lead questions: Could anything bad happen to you if you copied someone else’s idea or words and didn’t give them credit? How would you feel if someone stole your idea and didn’t give you credit ? What do you think should happen to them if they will steal your idea? Why? Why might it be unfair to use someone else’s work without giving them credit?

INTRODUCTION It is a list of all of the sources you have used (whether referenced or not) in the process of researching your work. BIBLIOGRAPHY

Bibliography includes : the authors' names the titles of the works the names and locations of the companies that published your copies of the sources the dates your copies were published the page numbers of your sources (if they are part of multi-source volumes) 2 3 1 2
