Objectives
In the aftermath of natural disasters, the imperative for housing rehabilitation and reconstruction becomes evident. Super Typhoon Yolanda's devastating impact on the Philippines in 2013 catalyzed the inception of the Yolanda Housing Project, aiming to address the urgent need for shelter for displaced families. This research endeavors to evaluate the perceived quality of living within this project from the beneficiaries' standpoint. The Yolanda Housing Project is emblematic of a multifaceted approach to post-disaster recovery, encompassing not only the construction of physical infrastructure but also fostering social cohesion and promoting sustainable development. Its core objectives include addressing immediate needs while laying the groundwork for long-term resilience and prosperity. Beyond providing mere shelter, the project aspires to enhance the overall well-being and satisfaction of beneficiaries. However, it faces challenges such as post-disaster complexities, socio-economic disparities, and environmental vulnerabilities. This necessitates a critical examination of the project's effectiveness and identification of areas for improvement. Despite these challenges, the Yolanda Housing Project stands as a beacon of hope, symbolizing resilience, inclusivity, and sustainability in rebuilding lives post-disaster. introduction 04 of 15
