Ext. Friday. 06:25 PM
-Car on gravel sound-
-car stopping sound-
-car doors opening and closing-
-people walking on gravel-
AMELIA
So this is it? This is the beautiful lake house your grandma owns? It looks like a shack
LUCAS
Don’t be so rude Lia, you didn’t come up with any ideas for a holiday, did you? It’s nice, I like it.
AMELIA
Well… I guess it will have to do for a few days
VERONICA
If you don’t like it you can find your own way back?
AMELIA
And miss the chance to have a relaxing holiday with my friends before we all leave and go to uni or
whatever? Never. Lets make this weekend the best weekend ever
SHAWN
Well isn’t this very touching. Can I get drunk now?
-everyone laughs-
Int. Friday. 11:12PM
The friends are in the living room playing a game and drinking
SHAWN
Okay okay, my turn. (moves hand to indicate it is a film) Wait wait, I got to get props for this
Shawn walks over to the book shelf and looks for a book. While he looks a book falls on his head.
He picks it up and walks to carry on playing the game. He opens in to look as if he is reading it.
Veronica sees it.
VERONICA
Where did you find that book?
SHAWN
I fell on my head when I went to go look for a book.
AMELIA
It fell on your head? Wow you’re even more pissed than I thought
Veronica gets up and takes the book off Shawn.

2. VERONICA
My Grandma used to tell me stories about this book. About these three great witches who went on
adventures to save innocents.
Veronica opens the book
VERONICA
Huh thats weird, its blank. The whole book. Theres no writing
The other walk up to Veronica crowding around the book to look at it. The book glows
LUCAS
Wow, what the hell
AMELIA
Why is it doing that?
Before anyone could say any more the group gets pushed back onto the floor and the book closes
on the floor.
They all sit up and holds their heads. Veronica stands up and puts the book back on the shelf.
VERONICA
okay, I think thats enough drinking for tonight. I’m going to bed
They all go to bed.
INT. Saturday. 09:16 AM.
Veronica and Lucas are in bed. Veronica wakes up and walks into the bathroom. When she walks
out she sees the book that she put on the shelf on the floor.
VERONICA
Lucas! Lucas! Wake up
She walks over to the book and picks it up.
LUCAS
I thought you put that book back in the bookshelf…
VERONICA
I did…
INT. Saturday. 10:30 AM
The group is sitting in the living room around this book
AMELIA
Okay… so what you’re saying is that you think this book is haunted and we made the ghost mad or
something…? What a load of bullshit. You’re just trying to scare us.
VERONICA
I’m not lying. I honestly have no idea why this book got into my room last night. And a ghost is the
only explanation for this if you guys swear you didn’t put it in there.

3. LUCAS
Do you think your Grandma would know anything?
VERONICA
Maybe. I’ll call her
Veronica walks off to go and call her grandma. Shawn leans over and opens the book to see that it
is full of writing.
SHAWN
Didn’t Veronica say this was blank?
AMELIA
It was. We all saw it was.
They all look at each other confused.
Veronica comes back.
VERONICA
my Grandma sounded kind of excited when I mentioned the book. she said she will be here as
soon as she can. Whats up with your faces?
LUCAS
Theres.. Writing in the book…
VERONICA
Wait what?… But I saw there was’t last night. we all saw.
EXT. Saturday. 11:55 AM
Veronicas grandma pulls up in the driveway and gets out of the car. Veronica comes up to her to
greet her.
VERONICA
Gosh Grandma you got here fast
GLORIA
Theres no time. You all must know
Her grandma speed walks past Veronica into the house and Veronica follows
her grandma sits down in front of the book and looks at the group
GLORIA
You all have been destined for greatness. it has been in your families for a long long time. theres a
reason why you all became friends.
VERONICA
Grandma. What are you saying?
GLORIA
Well I’m saying you 4 are all witches what do you think I’m saying?
The group looks at each other shocked
