6. INTRODUCTION : Rana Papers Ltd. (RPL) was established in the year 1997 at 8 KM, Jansath Road, Muzaffarnagar (U.P.), about 120 KM from delhi , to manufacture a wide range of Kraft paper based on agro raw materials with an annual capacity of 91000 TPA. They produce duplex board .and their product transported to many countries

7. Like dubai , south africa . They have only one branch in muzaffarnagar . They use waste papers for the manufacturing of their finished product. They have different plants in their industry like power plant,water treatment plant etc.

8. They make only one kind of duplex board but their size varies according to the demand of the party.

9. ABOUT LABOUR : THERE ARE MORE THAN 250 LABOURS IN THE RANA PAPER MILLS. LABOUR ARE NOT SKILLED IN THE RANA PAPERS MILLS THEY TOLD THAT LABOUR DON’T REQUIRE SKILL BECAUSE THEY ONLY HAVE TO LOAD PAPER FROM A PLACE TO ANOTHER AND THAT DOESN’T REQUIRE SKILL.

10. TENURE: RANA PAPER MILLS plant runs for 24hrs continously . There are more than 250 labours in the RANA PAPER MILLS(RPL). Shifts of the labour changes after every 8 hrs. changing of Labours shifts because labours health is a very important factor for any industry.

11. PRODUCIBILITY: RANA PAPER MILLS is a very huge industry. Its duplex board transported in many different countries like Dubai ,south africa.they make kraft of very good quality and this is the reason that many countries buy their duplex. RANA PAPER MILLS PRODUCE 250 TPD and their annual producibility is approximately 91000 TPA.

12. RAW MATERIAL AND FINISHED PRODUCT : Their raw material is water and substandard paper.they use paper which is useless for us. Basically ,they recycle the worthless papers .they make pulp of that solid worthless paper n then make the duplex board from that pulp. their finished product is duplex board.

16. PLANTS: plant  is an industrial site, usually consisting of buildings and machinery, where workers  manufacture  goods or operate  machines processing one product into another . A building capable of manufacturing goods of all sizes in large quantities to be sold by a business. Plants can be considered either a long term asset if owned by the firm, or both a long term liability if leased or rented.

17. PULP MAKING PLANT: RECYCLED PULP: Recycled pulp  is also called  deinked pulp  (DIP). DIP is recycled paper which has been processed by chemicals, thus removing printing inks and other unwanted elements and freed the paper fibres . The process is called  deinking

18. BLEACH is use to remove the ink from the papers. RANA PAPER MILLS use recycled pulp for the manufacturing of duplex board. they use to store their pulp in the basement, and then this pulp is transfer to the manufacturing plant as raw material for the production of duplex board .

19. MANUFACTURING PLANT :

20. RECYCLED PULP : recycle pulp is basically the raw material for the manufacturing of duplex board. Remove water : after that all the excess water is remove from the pulp to make the different layers of the duplex board .RANA PAPER MILLS make 8 LAYERED duplex board . DRIERS : driers is basically use for the steaming of the layers made for the duplex board.

21. There are 45 driers in the RPT. Lowest temperature of the drier is 45 degree Celsius and the highest temperature is 120 degree Celsius. Basically the work of the drier is to press the layers to remove water. MG: work of mg is to smoothen the layers of the duplex board.

22. SIZE PRESS: this is use to press the layer to remove any kind of cocked or vale portion in the duplex board. COATING SECTION : there is a different area for making the coating paste for duplex board in RPL. The work of this section is to make the paste for the coating of the duplex board. Paste is made by the combination of CALCIUM CARBONATE and CLAY.

23. After the preparation of this paste this will transfer to the machine and make a thin smooth upper layer of the board. CUTTER : cutter is basically use to cut the volumetric duplex board into tenuous duplex board. SOFT HARD PAPER: this is known as duplex board which is the finished product of RPL.

24. Finishing house: REMOVAL: the initial work of the RPL finishing house is to remove blemished paper from the chopped paper . COUNT: counting is done secondly. BUNDLES : then bundles are prepared. MARKET: then product is sell out to interested parties.

25. LABORATORY SECTION: PAPER WEIGHT : initial work of the laboratory is to check the weight of the paper. RPL make paper of weightage from 200gsm to 600 gsm . STIFFNESS MEASURE : stiffness measurement instrument is use to check harshness of the paper. BULKINESS: bulkiness measurement instrument is use to check the concreteness of the duplex

26. COB TESTER : this instrument is use to check the water absorbing capacity. SOA TESTER : this instrument is use to check the ink absorbing capability. CONSISTENCY: this is use to check the % of water and pulp in the duplex board BRIGHTNESS: this is use to check the brightness of the paper.

27. POWER GENERATING PLANT: A power plant is an industrial facility used to generate electric power with the help of one or more generators which converts different  energy  sources into electric power . RPL have their own power generating plant.

28. WATER TREATMENT PLANT: Water treatment  is any process that improves the quality of water to make it more acceptable for a specific end-use. The end use may be drinking, industrial water supply, irrigation, river flow maintenance, water recreation or many other uses, including being safely returned to the

29. Water treatment removes contaminants and undesirable components, or reduces their concentration so that the water becomes fit for its desired end-use. RPL has their own water treatment plant as well.

30. APPROACHES: RPL is one of the huge industry . Their approaches is in all over the world . They sell their product to various countries like dubai ,south africa and many more.

31. FORTE: RPL their own power plant. RPL have their own water treatment plant.the don’t waste water. And this also contribute to pollution free country. RPL use substandard paper for manufacturing of their finished product. From the substandard matter they find waste iron and sell it out to iron industry which is also a forte of RPL.

32. SCOPE FOR MBA: There is a huge scope for MBA students . Student with marketing specialization has the widest scope in the RPL. And student with HR specialization has scope in RPL as well.
