2. Introduction Ras Abu Aboud Stadium was a proposed stadium for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, it was designed by a team led by the Spanish Architecture firm Fenwick Iribarren Architects. Ras Abu Aboud Stadium was designed to be a sustainable and modular stadium that could be disassembled and repurposed after the tournament. 2

3. Introduction The stadium was initially announced under the name Ras Abu Aboud Stadium. During a launch event on 20 November 2021, the venue was officially renamed Stadium 974. Constructed on a 450,000 square- metre waterfront site, it had a  modular design  and incorporated 974 recycled  shipping containers . 3

4. Details About Stadium 4 The stadium's design was intended to minimize waste and environmental impact. The stadium would have been made primarily out of shipping containers, which would have been repurposed and repositioned to create the structure of the stadium.
