Seiton or systematize means setting all needed tools, items, materials, and equipment in the order they are to be used. Seiso or sweep means to clean the workplace thoroughly. Seiketsu or standardized aims to maintain the high quality of cleanliness and orderliness. Shitsuke or sustain means to have the self-discipline to instill the habit of cleaning.

8. Terms To Remember: Recycling – to convert or transform a material into another material that can be used. Products – refer to different items produced and used. Conservation – planned management of natural resources Disposal – getting rid of things that are no longer needed. Variant – different kinds or classes. Reuse – to use again for some or another purpose. Junk – refers to old paper, metal, plastic, wood, glass & tires. Junkshop – a place that buys and sells junk products. Pharmaceutical – relating to medicine production

9. Waste Material Waste materials include containers & packages made of plastic, polystyrene, paper, glass, metal, rubbers, and others. Some of the wastes do not decompose but can be recycled.

17. Waste Materials That Are Recyclable Metal Tins and cans as packaging or container of food and drinks are made of metal and aluminum. They are good materials for recycling. They are even sold to junkshops where companies of food and drinks buy them to be reused to conserve energy and other resources.

They are best turned into wall decors, flower vases, and holders of artificial or fresh flowers. Empty wine glasses add elegance to the wall and cabinets of the house when displayed artistically.

Use masks when handling vapor-based wastes. Do not directly damage pressurized canisters and tanks. Avoid using fire in disposing of waste materials. Report to authorities when biohazard and/or nuclear waste are found. Consult medical personnel when in contact with possible contaminated medical waste.
