2. Sunderland culture  Sunderland culture is an organisation form in April 2016 they bring together Sunderlands  most cherished cultural activities. They do events in the glass centre, the fire station, the winter gardens and many others and their goal is to improve life in Sunderland through culture. They are funded by 3 main organisations, Sunderland city council, university of Sunderland and music, arts and culture trust. As well as this they are registered charity therefore you can donate money to them yourself

As previously mentioned Sunderland culture do a wide range of events in the area. These events mainly include things such as music, films, Exhibitions and many other things deriving in the northeast area. These things give an opportunity for local artists and people in the creative space to show off their work to a wider range of people and help them demonstrate their talents which is a really good thing for people in that sector. They also offer volunteer work as well as offering education in the form of things like university internships. Their main goal is to improve and impact sunderland via cultural means (film, art etc ) however have also shown they can do this via more traditional means 

4. Sunderland culture also have nationally recognised awards. These awards are earned by doing volunteer work at certain areas and are location specific and go up in bronze, silver and gold. They also use the venues for local art such as the fire station with local concerts, tom a smith as a recent example as he is  originally  from Sunderland. Here are some of the venues sunderland culture use 

5. Bright Lights Bright Lights is a youth arts exhibition made by Sunderland Culture, it is for young people aged 16-25 to show off their art and creative talent. Every year they have a different theme. The theme we will be working on is called northern talent however previously have been the modern world, the lockdown, freedom and social change and many others. They show off art and films mainly however it is a mixed media event so you can show anything creative and well made
