Electricity Electricity comes from battery and electric power stations. Five electrical appliances that used battery/ batteries are remote, clock, handphone, laptop and flashlight. Five electrical appliances that powered by electric power stations are washing machine, electric kettle, electric fan, television, and air conditioner (AC). We can use electricity constantly in our daily lives. It is one of the most important types of power and energy that we use. What can we do to conserve electricity? How can we use electricity safely?
Rocks Rocks are made of grains of one or more natural subtances called minerals. We can find them on hills, beaches, near rivers, near streams, fields, and everywhere. We classify rocks according to their properties by colour and textures. Three main colour of rocks are red, grey, and brown. According to the size of grains, 2 types of rocks are large/ coarse grains and tiny/ fine grains. According to the shape of grains, 2 types of rocks are smooth-rounded and jagged. According to the pattern of grains, 3 types of rocks are banded, swirling, and definite (don’t have pattern) pattern. Objects that are made from rocks around me are wall, jewelry, pebbles, and statue (answer may vary).
The Sun, the Earth and the Moon The Sun is so important to us because it’s our main source of light and heat. The Sun and the Moon are in space. The Sun, the Earth and the Moon look like a sphere. No, it doesn’t. The Moon doesn’t give off its own light. The shadows are formed when an object blocks the light falling on it. The use of cardinal points is to tel directions. Four main direction (cardinal points) are North, South, East, and West.
