•Right to Service regime started in India around 2005-06
with first Maharashtra passing Prevention of Delay in
Discharge of Official Duty Act 2005.
•Since year 2010 after passing Madhya Pradesh Right to
Service Act the regime picked up some speed…..
•Madhya Pradesh Act was followed by many other
states…
•Now after passing recent Haryana Right to Service Act
2014 almost 20 states have such Laws..
•Some of the states have made rules…..
•Punjab & Haryana have provided for constitution of
State Right to Service Commission on the pattern of
State Information Commission.
