11. History

HUDA restored the lake in 2000 under the
Conservation and Restoration Project of Green
Hyderabad Environment Programme. It turned
into a well known amusement range for the
occupants of adjacent states. Quite a while
later, lake got to be contaminated because of
absence of upkeep and carelessness of HMDA
and GHMC.

16. GOOD VIEWS

●Once a pleasant sight, with the serene atmosphere
attracting morning and evening walkers apart from
migratory birds, the lake and its surroundings .
●A small island like structure has been created in the middle
of the lake with healthy growth of trees where one can spot
migratory birds in large numbers.
●During winter, migratory birds set home at the lake. The
setting sun, an expanse of water and birds in flight makes
this lake definitely a photographer’s delight.
