FAQs Is any JavaScript included as part of the framework? - No its an Pure CSS Framework What CSS syntax does SLDS use? - It uses BEM CSS Syntax Pattern for naming all classes Do we need to use (and compile) SASS to use SLDS? - SASS or any preprocessor can be used to preprocess Design Tokens, but if you are only using predefined component you don’t have to worry about them. Does Lightning Experience replace Visualforce? - LX & SLDS are provided to be integrated inside Visualforce, so now you can consider that you have 2 ways to design your app either in older fashion with new framework inside Visualforce, or a completely new Platform Lightning Should we start building in Lightning or Visualforce? - It may varies based on your requirement. Will Lightning Experience support Visualforce's apex tags? - So far VF tags are not going to show in new UI but will use older class CSS while rendering How to identify whether we are on Classic View Or Lightning Experience - You can use sforce.one to identify whether you are in a Classic View or inside SF1 or LX
