As we start a new school year this month, we are excited to have all of you with us this year! Thank you for
taking the time to attend our parent meeting in August to get the scoop on this upcoming year. Please make sure
you are connected via LifeCubby this year or you will be missing out on a lot of information. I am always available
if you have questions throughout the year. Sign-up sheets are also available at our entrance for you to volunteer
to help in at least one area this year. Please take a moment to look at them and sign up during drop-off and pick-
up. Don’t forget Parent Surveys are also due by September 21.

September 9, from 10:30-11:30am in the auditorium.
Starting our 2019-20 School Year:

As we get ready to start a new school year
September 9, 2019, your child will be responsible to
bring in some school supplies this year. Please bring
the following by Monday, September 9:
 4 glue sticks
 2 glue bottles
 1 pack of thin markers
 1 pack of chunky markers
 1 pack of colored pencils
 1 box of tissues
 1 box of gallon-size Ziploc bags

September 25 – Swimming Group 3(3-4pm)

Swimming Groups:

Group 3: Ellen, Nathan, Henry, Zariya, Sebastian, Briar

Reminder: Don’t forget to send your child with a
hooded towel for swimming dates. This makes it easier
to walk back and forth to the pool and reduces falls.

2019 KELC Closed Days
Please see the list below for the days we will be closed.
You will need to make alternate arrangements for your
children on these days as KELC will be closed.

Teacher In-service: November 1

Holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Friday After,
Christmas Eve, Christmas and Thursday after.

Hello Kendal Family,
Thank you to all those that were able to attend the parent meeting on August 28. If you were not able to
attend, please make sure to read through all the information on your child’s hook, and please ask us if you have
any questions. Thank you in advance for sending your child’s back-to-school supplies by September 9.

Please be
on the lookout for the Giving Tree and Celebration Garden addition to the front entry way. Teachers will put up
leaves that have items needed for our classroom written on them. If you see something your family is able to
bring in, simply pick off the leaf and tape it to the item when you bring it to the center. This will decrease extra
emails filling up your inbox and extra expenses in the classroom.
We have many new friends in our classroom starting this month, so please take a moment to ask your child
about their new friends and the new things they are learning about our classroom.
Just a reminder, please make sure to bring in more weather-appropriate clothes whenever dirty/wet clothes
get sent home.
September Nature Club is at Mill Hollow on Friday, September 6, at 5pm. We hope to see you there!
