Use of Mobile Phone Rules 1. Purposes : 1) Working Hours is for work. There are many employees using mobile phones. Many of them are constantly on their mobile phone anytime and everywhere, for instant, Gameplay in the workplace, WhatsApp during working hours, Facebook in the meeting, or even surfing internet in the toilet. It has come to the time now that the Company need to set the use of mobile phones rules in the Company for the reasons of work productivity, work efficiency and quality of work. 2) To Protect Company Secret, Maintaining Confidential Customer or Other important Business Information It is a known fact that mobile phones can save and transmit information in form of texts, pictures or video. For example, in the recent accident case in one factory nearby, the photos of the incidents and machines were found circulated in social media group. Any leakage of company’s secret information would lead to loss of customers, infringing of intellectual property right and legal matters. 3) The Safety of Employees in the Workplace The use of mobile phone in the workplace could compromise the safety of the employees. For example, messages while walking, texting while machines is running, etc . The attraction to the mobile phone could increase the potential risk to the safety which may cause the suffering of the loss and the pain, in the event of accidents . 2

Use of Mobile Phone Rules General Rule: The use of Mobile Phone in the Company 1) Company Mobile Phone The company has provided mobile phone to eligible person for the purposes of company business and operations in the workplace. The eligible person who is allowed to bring, and to use company mobile phone during working hours in the Company, are as follows; i ) Managers rank and above. ii) Company’s mobile phone users (Person committed to follow the company mobile phone rule by signing the pledge.) 2) Personal Mobile Phone No employee is allowed to use personal mobile phone in the company, except at the permitted areas and non-working hours, as follows; i ) Area permitted: Rest Area and Canteen Area ii) Time: Non-working hours such as Break-time (tea-break, lunch-break, dinner-break, snack time). 3

Use of Mobile Phone Rules 3. Control of Company Mobile Phone i ) The use of the company mobile phone is for the company business and operations only. No personal matter is allowed. ii) In order to prevent any leakage of company information, any transferring of photos and data shall only be allowed by using the approved company devices, and the matter shall be related to the job. iii) Any photos and data of the accident (in the case of emergency), shall be forwarded to respective superior. The superior will then make the decision on forwarding the photos and data to the party concerned. 4

Consequences: Misconduct & Disciplinary Action If any employee is found using mobile phone other than the permitted area, and/or the permitted time, and/or did not follow any of the Use of Mobile Phone rules, after the 1 st counseling statement was given, the employee shall be liable to the breach of Company’s rules, therefore, disciplinary action is as following Category A: “Did not follow Use of Mobile Phone Rules”.

Answer: There is no law saying that the company cannot set the restriction to the mobile phone rules in the workplace. There is also no breach of the Company CSR rules and Human Rights by setting the use of mobile phone rules in the workplace. The Company can set Mobile Phone Rules and Policy to protect the interest of the Company.

Use of Mobile Phone Rules (Question & Answer) 9 Q2) In the true emergency case, how could the employee family members contact the employee during working hours ? Answer: The employee family members could call the company telephone general line 082-350700, and put extension number to the respective process Alternatively, they can call the employee’s superior who is the eligible to mobile phone holders.

Use of Mobile Phone Rules (Question & Answer) 10 Q3) What happen if the employee mobile phone is stolen due to putting the mobile phone in the lockers? Answer: The Company will not accept any responsibility or liability for a mobile phone which is lost, stolen or damaged on Company premises or during work time. Employees who choose to bring their mobile phones to work do so at entirely their own risk.
