TYPES OF BUSINESS ACCORDING TO ACTIVITIES
Before we formally start with the discussion, let’s have first this video presentation. Guide questions: What is BUSINESS? What are the THREE MAJOR TYPES OF BUSINESS? What are examples of these three major types of business?
Types of Business According to Activities ● SERVICE CONCERN This type of business offers professional skills, advice and consultations. Provides intangible products (products with no physical form). Examples: barber shops and beauty parlors, repair shops, banks, accounting and law firms, dry cleaning establishments, schools

Types of Business According to Activities ● MERCHANDISING Ø It is a type of business that purchases finished products and resells them to consumers. Ø This type of business is also known as "buy and sell". Examples: book stores, sari-sari stores, hardware stores, department stores

Types of Business According to Activities ● MANUFACTURING Ø It is a type of business that buys raw materials, convert them into products, and then sell the products to other companies or to the final consumers. Thus, there is a transformation of the products purchased. Examples: shoe manufacturing businesses, car manufacturing plants, auto manufacturers, and clothing manufacturers.

● Agricultural Business Agricultural business, also known as agribusiness, is the farming, management, production, and marketing of agricultural commodities, such as livestock and crops. Examples: Farming, poultry, crop production
ACTIVITY: PICTURE ANAYLYSIS The teacher will show a picture and the students will identify which type of business best describe it. Activity: LET’S GET REAL! The class will be divided into three. In dividing the class, the teacher will require students to count 1,2, 3 and group themselves according to their number. The teacher will give each group 5 minutes to prepare and practice based in their assigned types of business. The teacher will give students 5 minutes for presentation. The teacher will rate each group in their performance based on the following rubrics:
