2. “SANTHOSH NIVAS TRUST” the happy home established as
children’s shelter with great enthusiasm and vision to support
bringing up and educating helpless girl children and making them
self-reliant.
SNT is located in Udumalpet, in Chellamuthu street near
government girls higher secondary school, Dhali road in Tirupur
district.
This home was started initially with 4 orphaned/semi orphaned
girl children. And currently after completing a decade the shelter
now supports 18 children. SNT foster these children taking care
of their basic needs by providing them education, good
nutritious food, good clothing and overall providing them a
secure place to stay with loving utmost care by attending to
their needs personally to ensure that they are in no way exposed
to hardship. We have no house-maiden, staff, warden or
assistant instead these children are taken direct care by the
managing trustee who voluntarily became mother to own
responsibility for children to clothe, feed, cry and laugh with our
children. We care for children just like you would for your own.
They grow up in the home from any stage or age to the x or xII
standard; till they join professional courses or get
married.Santhosh home therefore nurtures them at its cost till
they are finally settled. They can also be reunited with their
family.

3. We go to the particular village from where we get informations and select children from the most
below poverty line families. Children who have been neglected, poor, and downtrodden and orphaned
by HIV/AIDS also. All the placements were for various reaons made by parents. We admit children with
direct participation by a parent or guardian. These children are here for a chance to live safely and have
an opportunity to succeed and achieve.

4. At present we are living in a home rented (for rupees 5000 per month) with a small hall which is our
home for everything, sleeping, dining, studying, praying, playing etc. The children do not have a place
for playing and we have also a kitchen without storeroom. We have a single toilet and bathroom which
is also not enough.
Books consisting of stories, comics, health and hygiene and DVD, CD of devotional songs are maintained
and to encourage the sports children are provided with skipping, caramboard, chess and balls.
Personal health and hygiene of each child is taken care of regularly.

Her father left the family and married another
woman, mother is a labour. Three of her siblings are
left in government orphanages. She came at the age

broken from the shoulder day one baby. She is left
handed.

She is the only girl child and two elder brothers. Her
father committed suicide, mother is a coolie, she was

Family Background:
She comes from a remote village in Dindugal district.
Both the parents committed suicide. Vinita does not
have any relatives or any family support. Her only
brother is left in an orphanage. She came to Santhosh
nivas in 2005 at the age of 9. She is now 19 years and
doing nursing one year course.

Family Background:
She is the third girl child and has two elder sisters and
one younger sister. Her father committed suicide,
mother was a coolie. She has been in Santhosh nivas
for 10 years. She is now doing nursing. All her sisters
are taken care by Santhosh nivas.

Family Background:
She is the second child of the family. She has one
elder sister and one younger sister. Her father was
seriously ill, mother is a heart patient. She came at the

Family Background:
She is the second child with an elder sister and
younger brother. Her parents are severely ill. She has
been in Santhosh nivas for 10 years. She is now doing
nursing. Her elder sister education is sponsored by
Santhosh nivas trust.

14. 1.A new home with all facilities. We are
planning to construct a building. The
structure should be atleast 1,500
square feet of an area at a cost of 25
lakhs. We need to go in for a two
floors where the first floor could be
used to study and pray. And the
second floor as bedroom. This is our
master plan god willing.
2.At present our children are going to
the school by van and we are paying
rupees 5000 per month. We need a
School van for transportation of
santhosh home children from school
to home and vice versa.
3.Book, shelves, water filter and
computers.
