iRevenue and income is stored as
negative values in SAP. In analytical
reports this may cause confusion for
business users.
To avoid the confusion, a „Sign
Change“ attribute was introduced for
„Consolidation Financial Statement
Item“ hierarchies in the „Manage Global
Hierarchies“ app.
Together with also newly introduced
key figures interpreting this sign
change attribute, it is now possible to
create reports that display amounts on
FS items and FS item hierarchy nodes
with reverted sign.
Note: This is a display only feature.
Values on data base are not changed
and therefore aggregation behavior and
aggregation/calculation results stay as
it is unchanged.

In order to maintain/change the sign
change attribute, open the „Change
Node“ dialog of an FS item hierarchy
node …
… and either switch on or off the sign
change for the respective hierarchy
node.
Please note:
➢The sign change attribute can only
be maintained in this dialog.
➢In the hierarchy display the column
„+/-Sign Change“ is read only.
➢Also in the Excel export and import
the sign change attribute is not
included and not supported for
technical reasons.

iThe sign change attribute can only be
maintained for FS item hierarchy
nodes, not for the FS item leaves in the
hierarchy.
Therefore the „Change Node“ dialog for
an FS item does not show the sign
change attribute.
Note: FS items in the hierarchy inherit
the sign change attribute value from the
directly superordinate hierarchy node.
This inheritance happens during
activation of the FS items hierarchy,
when the hierarchy is replicated into its
runtime persistence.
As the „Define Global Hierarchies“ app
is working on the runtime persistence
of the global hierarchies, the inherited
sign change on FS item level is not
displayed in this app.

show flipped values while as the ones
without sign adjustments don‘t.

Whenever a list of fields is displayed in the „Define

alphabetical order of their field labels.
As the field labels are language dependent, the position
of a field in such a list may differ between languages.

Additional Value Helps in “Define Selections” App
Various fields in the „Define Selections“ app were
without value help so far. So users either have to know
the value to be entered, or have to look it up in a
different place.
For all relevant fields value helps are now available …
… which allow users to comfortably search for and
select from existing values.

▪Equity pick-up (EPU) is a regulatory
requirement in some countries to report
standalone financial statements for parent
units.
▪The reported income and movement in other
comprehensive income (OCI) attributable to
direct subsidiaries must be recorded on the
parent unit books. The income and OCI from
direct subsidiaries must in turn also include the
pick up from its own direct children. This
requires a “step” approach in the calculation of
equity pick-up along the ownership hierarchy.

Ability to integrate data from remote systems
▪Load unconsolidated/reported data from external
systems (push from a remote system by calling an
API)
▪Apply group reporting data collection mapping
▪Save data to SAP S/4HANA for group reporting
The public push API enables the following scenario
▪External system pushing data to SAP S/4HANA for
group reporting through a data mapping application
▪User creating a mapping definition and eventually a
job using the application
▪Through the public API, user selecting the definition or
job to be used and pushing the data to be mapped
and sent to SAP S/4HANA for group reporting

name will be used by the API

Once implemented, the remote system (source) will push
data to Group Reporting via the API.
Nothing else has to be done in GRDC.
The GRDC data mapping definition will automatically be
applied, the job will automatically be run.
Unconsolidated/reported data will be saved to SAP

You can then run your consolidation in Group Reporting.

First, you create a mapping definition and, if necessary, a job in the Data Mapping application
▪If you want to start from a definition: you select a mapping definition from existing CSV based mapping definitions so that
the corresponding job will be created and run
▪If you want to start from a job: you select a job from existing CSV based jobs so that it will be run.
Then, the Group Journal Entries –Import API allows you to precise the definition/job to be used and pushes the data to be

GRDC Data Mapping
Automatic execution of file import as a
scheduled background job
*available since 2011

Automation is now provided in the run.
The user can schedule jobs so that the jobs will automatically
process according to a predefined sequence.
Thanks to source file storage on cloud(file is stored in a cloud
location), the job can include a source file instance and the
job can run automatically without manual processing, once
the date/time of run has been defined. See the reminder here.
Similarly, ACDOCA instance is defined in the definition which
is attached to the job. Once the date/time of the job has been
defined, the job can run automatically without manual
process.

Source file storage on cloud (reminder)
As soon as a Data Mapping Definition with Source Type = File is selected, a field allows
the user to enter the cloud destination where the source file is stored.
The job can be automatically run when a cloud destination is already defined in the job
editor: the source file is read from the source instance

«Schedule» section has been added to the job editor.
The user can schedule a mapping job to run:
Once, at a defined time.
Following a recurrence pattern.
