2. Activate is a project management/solution/preparation recommended by SAP for implementation planning . Activate optimizes time, quality & efficient use of resources. This will overcome the challenges in ASAP (SAP classic methodology) Under ASAP Process owners are temporarily signed with BP and again it revised after they see the developments in the system. This backward movement unnecessarily wasting the time . Sap Launched RISE tool to monitor the entire activities of SAP Activate.

3. SAP ACTIVATE – Six Phases Discover Prepare Explore Realize Deploy Run

4. Discover This is a phase relevant with customer. They discover what is s4 hana and how they are benefited. During this phase, customers can apply for a free trial solution if applicable and try it out for themselves to check the features and functionalities of the solution Prepare Nothing but initial preparation. One is added that you make demo system ready for explore phase. That is model company should be ready . Project setup – Project team members and Process owners Roadmap for Fresh project implementation(Green Field) or Migration Approach- like ECC to S4 should be determined. Initial system Incl Best practices – Demo system with best practice configuration During this phase, an initial level of requirement is collected when the business process owners fill QADB.

5. Explore Nothing but BP phase. Explore the system and finding the Fits and Gaps. Activate solution and rapid proto typing – Identifying the scope of the requirement. So need not explain all the Best practices. What ever applicable that only can be explained. Delta Design – Here we design how to solve the gaps. (Functional spec and Z development) Delta Backlog – It keep track of what modifications and customisations are required. Realize Sprint Execution – To fill the gaps we are doing customisation. Here sprint is interval like what is our deliverable to our customers in every 15days. Walk through - Customer checks and any changes we will do even in this stage . In this phase, multiple levels of testing such as Unit Testing, String Testing, Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing is performed to ensure the SAP system is configured according to the customer requirements provided by the business process owners. 

6. Deploy This is cut over and GO live All cut over activities like Legacy data migration are completed. setup the production system, ensure customer end-users are ready to use the solution productively, and to switch the business operations to the new system . Run  In the Run phase, the key users help the organization adopt the solution by providing continuous learning, enabling end-users, and supporting them in adoption of the application.
