Many scientists predict an oil peak as early as 2030, a high
point in oil production, after which oil supplies would dry
up rapidly as we exhaust current sources.

The world's reserves of petroleum products (petrol, diesel,
LPG), which account for 36 percent of the world's energy
supply, are finite, and unless we start conserving these
resources, we may witness total depletion of oil reserves in
our lifetime!

As transportation constitutes over 50 percent of the
demand for petroleum, any serious attempt at conserving
oil has to begin with practising fuel economy with our
vehicles. Right from choosing a car with greater mileage, or
one that runs on cleaner fuel, to maintenance and diligent
driving - there are numerous ways in which we can ease the
pressure on oil. All it takes is a will and some action!
