4. Questions Revision Subject questions Used when asking about the subject (who/what is doing the action) No auxiliary verb (do/does/did) is needed in present and past simple. Structure: (Who/what) + verb … ? Example : Who called you yesterday? What happened at the meeting?

5. Questions Revision Object questions Used when asking about the object (the receiver of the action) Uses auxiliary verb (do/does/did) is needed in present and past simple. Structure: (What/who/ where/ why) + aux verb + subject + main verb … ? Example : Who did you call yesterday? What did she say? Where does he live?

6. Questions Revision Yes/ no questions Used when expecting a “yes” or “no” answer Starts with an auxiliary or modal verb. Structure: Auxiliary verb(Do/Does/ Did/ Is/ Are/ Was/ Were/ Can/ Will, etc ) + subject + main verb … ? Example : Do you like coffee? Did she finish the report? Is he coming to the party?

Questions Revision Indirect questions Used to sound more polite or formal Sentence structure changes (no question word order) Structure: Intro phrase (can you tell me … I was wondering … ) + question word + subject + verb DON’T use auxiliary verbs Example : DQ: Where does he live? IQ: Can you tell me where he lives?
