FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Deals with how funds are procured and utilized. It includes the financial aspects of a business such as cost control,budgetary control,management accounting, etc. HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT Deals with acquisition , utilization , development , maintenance and control of human resource. Covers aspects related to personnel of an enterprise such as recruitment, training, promotion, retirement, industrial relations, social security, labour welfare, etc.
PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT It consists of production related aspects like production planning, production control, quality control and so on. OFFICE MANAGEMENT Under this aspect , office layout, staffing, equipment layout, etc are dealt with.
MARKETING MANAGEMENT This is concerned with marketing aspects of the product produced by the concern, deals with aspects like price determination, channels of distribution, market research,sales promotion and advertisement. MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT It deals with proper care of the buildings , plants and machinery and furniture and fixtures of business enterprise.
SUBJECT MATTER OF MANAGEMENT This primarily includes the various functions performed by management .
PLANNING It is the fundamental management function, which involves deciding beforehand , what is to be done, when is it to be done , how it is to be done and who is going to do it . It is an intellectual process which lays down an organisation’s objectives and develops various courses of action to be taken.
ORGANISING It involves developing an organisational structure .The structure of an organization is The framework within which Efforts are coordinated. Also involves designing jobs, Deciding duties and responsibilities .
STAFFING It is the process of hiring eligible c andidates in the organization for Specific positions . It involves determination of manpower Requirements, selection and placement, training and development ,appraisal and remuneration of employees .
DIRECTING It refers to a process or t echnique of instructing ,guiding, i nspiring, counselling,overseeing a nd leading people towards the accomplishment of goals . It initiates action in the Organization.
CONTROLLING It is a process of comparing the actual p erformance with the set standards of the company to ensure that activities are performed according to the plans and if not then taking corrective action.
