Script for assembly.

Chelsea: Cranford Community College presents 2010 Sports Festival.

Saujanya: Our goals for the sports festival are-
To encourage an interest in the 2012 Olympics and to create an atmosphere of
excitement around school.
Whole School Aim: the whole school to enjoy themselves and bring everyone
together for the day.
P.E. Aim: to promote fitness in students through participation in a wide range of
sports activities.

Sajan: When is it?
It will be taking place on the Monday 19
th
July 2010. But we also have reserve dates
in case it may rain on the day. The reserve dates are Wednesday 21
st
and Thursday
22
nd
July.

Chelsea: the zone plan will be like this.
Field events zone: Rounder’s, Softball, 100m Sprint, Long jump, High Jump, Shot Put.
Games Zone: Tennis, Football, Handball, Hockey, Bench ball, Netball.
Fitness Zone: Skipping, Tang Soo Do, Outdoor Gym, Assault Course, Choi Kwang Do,
and Trampolining.
Active Zone: Dance Mats, Wii Sports, Wii Sports 2, Yoga, Team Relay, and Dance
Aerobics.

Ryan/ Chelsea: Competition.
Students will be competing for points in their house teams. (All T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z.) to
gain Cranford shield points.

Saujanya: T- Ghana, U- Brazil, V- Italy, W-Germany, X-Argentina, Y-Spain and Z-Portugal.

Saujanya: Students in each tutor group will divide themselves into teams of 6.
Each team will participate in one event from each zone.
Each year group will rotate amongst the four zones during the day.

Ryan/Sajan: the day will go like this. In registration will be normal. Period one you will stay in
registration to do some tasks.
Period 2 you will have your first sports.
Then you will have break as normal.
Period 3 you will do you 2
nd
activity.
Then you will have lunch.
Period 4 you will have your 3
rd
activity.
And finally period 5 you will have your fourth and final activity. Then you will go
home.
