PREAMBLE Copperbelt Zambia Conference stretches from Chambishi district on the Copperbelt Province to Chitambo district in Central Province of Zambia. This is the Territory which is described as Copperbelt Zambia Conference of the Seventh – Day Adventist Church. The conference has Fifty two (52) organised Mission Districts with several churches, companies and Branches

The conference is administratively Sub- divided into Four Regions Central Region A Central Region B Copper belt Region A Copper belt Region B

SUPERVISION OF THE REGIONS These Regions are supervised by the Region Coordinators who work and report the activities of the Regions to the Conference Adventist Youth Ministries Executive Committee wh ich reports to the Youth Director, who is the Overall supervisor of all the activities of the Youth Ministries in the conference.

INDUCTION CEREMONIES The conference was able to conduct induction ceremonies in all the 52 mission districts. These were supervised by the District Youth Leaders (Presidents) and monitored by the Conference Officials. Worth noting is the availability of capable master guides in the conference who made this work easier

CHALLENGES FACED DURING THE INDUCTIONS The biggest challenge recorded during and after the whole period of the Induction Ceremonies in all the respective mission Districts was late submission of statistical data to the conference

RECOMMENDATIONS Leaders are therefore urged to be submitting data to the conference secretariat immediately after the induction ceremonies Leaders are further encouraged to do this task even before they are reminded as this is part of their duties.

GLOBAL YOUTH DAY Global youth day is a special day set aside by the General conference of the seventh – Day Adventist church were the ambassadors and the Young Adults take the centre stage in showing the acts of kindness in their communities . This Year’s GYD was commemorated under the Theme: SHOW UP IN THE CITIES . Due to the nature of the theme , the conference Adventist Youth Ministries formulated FIVE Clusters for easy administration and supervision of all GYD Activities in districts not forgetting district centers

GYD CLUSTERS The Five (05) GYD clusters were Mufulira cluster for all the Mufulira based mission districts. Kitwe cluster for all the kitwe based mission districts. Kapiri Cluster for all the Kapiri based mission districts . Luanshya cluster for luanshya based mission districts Ndola cluster for all ndola based districts Besides these five clusters , many other clusters were in full swing and conducted activities such as Cleaning of the public places i.e markets , police and Health facilities among others. Over K 108,000 was spent cumulatively across the conference during GYD celebrations

GYD SABBATH On this day, celebratory worship services were held all around the conference, these services were graced by various civic leaders and senior government officials who appreciated the great gesture that was exhibited by the youths of the Seventh –Day Adventist Church especially that it came in the wake of cholera Glad to report that many Church leaders took leading roles to ensure the success of these events .

YOUTH WEEK OF PRAYER After the celebration, the youths turned their focus to inviting their friends in the community for the week of prayer. The week of prayers took place in all the churches across the conference and at the end , 5136 Souls were won to Jesus Christ through baptism

PROJECTS The main project sites for the conference are; Maposa skills Musofu land These sites need title deeds and Directors office is actively working with the church officers to ensure this is done soon as time has elapsed from the time the main E xcom committed itself.

PROJECT CONT… INSIGINIA STOCKING The conference is currently selling insignias through Br Chilukusha M, the project secretary. This project is so far steadily progressing.

CONSTITUTION A constitution in one of the most important document for every organisation. Copperbelt Zambia Conference has for some year s operated without a constitution. In view of this, we are glad to announce to this house the milestone that the constitution committee has made in the formulation of this document

CONSTITUTION FORMULATION PROCESS The committee had a weekend outing whose aim was solely to finalise the document. This house is being informed that the constitution is ready for adoption as the official document to be used by the Adventist youth ministries .

EDUCATION AND STANDARDS The Education and Standards committee of the CZC Adventist Y outh M inistries works on, among many other things, administering the exams, assessments and upholding of the standards and policy compliance. On 12/01/24, the education and standards held a gland investiture ceremony in Kitwe at the Copperbelt University where hundreds of Master guides and Senior youth leaders were invested. The report on this was given during the February 2024 council

EXAMINATIONS On May 5 th , 2024, the Education and Standards committee administered Pathfinder progressive classes and master guide exams. On the same day, Bible Truth and Church Heritage Re-sit exams were administered.

LEADERSHIP SEMIN ARS We must also report that during the period under review the conference conducted several leadership seminars which were under the supervision of the regional coordinators. The main aim of these seminars was to build capacity in leaders to enable them preside over the affairs of the young people across the conference.

Among the places where the leadership seminars took place includes Kalulushi leadership seminar under Kalulushi Youth Federation - The Director’s Designees graced the event Pemeka Leadership under Kapiri South - The Director graced the event Sungula Leadership Seminar organised by Kapiri West Chambishi Leadership Seminar by Chambishi Missions District AYM - Graced by the Director Chimwemwe Mission District Leadership Seminar - Graced by the director

REGIONAL LEADERSHIP SEMINAR Copper belt region A organised a regional leadership seminar, which attracted many young people across the region, this gathering saw a proper selection of instructors Among the instructors were Elder Alex Cheelo, Elder Martin Musonda , Elder Jope Himweete , Pastor Dexter Njuka etc.

DIRECTORIAL TOURS During the period under review, the youth director made a number of visits with in the C opperbelt Zambia conference. In his visits, the director took time to explain to the youths around the conference the vision of the Adventist Youth Ministries of Copperbelt Zambia Conference for this three years tenure of office.

FUNERAL SUPPORT It is with great sadness that I report to this house the tragedy which be fall us in the month of April; the untimely demise of our two brothers and a sister who would have been part of us toda y Br K irren Chisanga – until his demise served as the Communication C hairperson for CZC AYM Br C hoongo Sakala – until his demise served as the adventurer specialist under education and standards dept. Sr Mercy Ngalande – A youth leader from Kapiri North

CONTI… We further wish to report that as a conference we received overwhelming material and spiritual support from within and outside the conference. T he conference main Excom purchased the three caskets at a cost of K16,500 and our brothers and sister were put to rest on 4 th April 2024 at Chibwelelo cemetery in Kapiri Mposhi while the young people and other supporters of youth Ministries raised over K 37,000 towards funeral support. CONTI… On the day of bur ial scores of youth s travel ed from within and outside the conference to pay their last respect to the departed brethren. Elder Brian Kambole and Pastor Richard Chanzingwa - Youth Director, are among the leaders who represented Northwestern Zambia Conference and Midlands East Zambia Conference respectively on the material day

CONTI.. When called upon to speak, Elder Cheelo, on behalf of the Executive and all CZC Youths , reflectively reminded the mourners of the great work that the late colleagues had done for the church and for the Adventist Youth Ministries in Copperbelt Zambia Conference and beyond. He encouraged the youths present to emulate the passion of the late leaders even as he tendered in his commiserative speech.

COMMUNICATION Communication plays a critical role in disseminating information across our conference. In order to enhance good and quality communication, the conference is currently working on purchasing equipment for communication, the recent procurement of a camera stand is a testament to this commitment. The public relations team who only depend on personal gadgets to do the work will soon have these conference equipments .

ADMINISTRATION I n the w ake of trying to reduce costs and atleast save some resources, the Adventist Youth administration decided to purchase a printer to be used mainly under the Education and Standards office of course working together with secretariat. This was thought after analysing the printing costs incurred during the meetings of this nature through secretariat and exam printing
