Meaning of Sect Denoting or concerning a sect or sects A member of a sect.

Conflict Conflict refers to some form of friction, or discord arising within a group when the beliefs or actions of one or more members of the group are either resisted by or unacceptable to one or more members of another group

What is Sectarian conflict ?

Sectarianism Sectarianism  is a form of bigotry , discrimination, or hatred arising from attaching relations of inferiority and superiority to differences between subdivisions within a group.

In Pakistan Sectarian violence in Pakistan refers to attacks and counter-attacks against people and places in Pakistan motivated by antagonism toward the target's sect, usually a religious group. Targets in Pakistan include the Sunni, Shia , Sufi, and the small Ahmadi , Hindu and Christian religious groups.

Sectarian Fighting in Pakistan More than 200o Shia Hazara were killed since 2000 by Sunni Muslim Terrorist. On 28 th Dec,2009, almost 40 shias were killed at Karachi. June 2010 in Karachi, Shia muslims were killed. On 3 rd March,2013, bomb blast in Abbas town at Karachi.

Applying the 1 st Paradigm The manifest function of sectarianism is to provide norms and values. BUT The latent function is that, it is highlighting the inequality among different sects.
