Section 4: Club Organization Pathfinder Basic Staff Training Course — Kambi SDA Church
Purpose of Club Organization Structure the club to support spiritual, social, physical, and mental aims. Clarify leadership roles and responsibilities. Ensure accountability and continuity in ministry. Follow General Conference Youth Ministries standards for club organization.
Overall Structure Church → Conference/Union → Local Pathfinder Club. Each club operates under the local church board. Club Board, Staff, Youth Leaders, and Pathfinders form the structure. Communication flows upward through the Youth Ministries Department.
Key Roles & Responsibilities Director – Leads, plans, coordinates, and represents the club. Deputy Directors – Support leadership in programming, discipline, and logistics. Secretary – Records minutes, membership, and correspondence. Treasurer – Manages funds and ensures transparency. Counselors and Instructors – Mentor, teach, and guide Pathfinders.
Membership & Staff Requirements Pathfinders: Ages 10–15; baptized or preparing for baptism. Staff: Mature Adventist members trained in Pathfinder ministry. All staff must undergo background and child safety checks. Uniforms promote identity, discipline, and unity.
Club Board & Committees Club Board includes Director, Deputies, Chaplain, Secretary, Treasurer, and Counselors. Committees handle camping, service, education, and discipline. Regular meetings ensure planning and accountability. Minutes and reports must be filed with the church board.
Linking with Church & Conference The club reports to the church board through the Youth Department. Participates in conference, regional, and union events. Utilizes GC and division resources for training and programming. Encouraged to form partnerships for outreach and evangelism.
Planning for Growth & Sustainability Recruitment and retention strategies for members. Continuous staff training and mentoring. Succession planning for leadership continuity. Fundraising and budgeting ensure financial health.
Biblical Foundation 1 Corinthians 14:40 – 'Let all things be done decently and in order.' Nehemiah 4:17 – teamwork and organized service to God. Jesus’ model of delegation and mentorship with the disciples. Organization reflects God’s order and excellence in ministry.
