Introduction
Breast Cancer Threonine-Serine Protein
Kinase 50 (TSP50)
BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes

Introduction

To correlate TSP50 levels with
clinical and prognostic parameters
in breast cancer patients to
determine its relevance as a
biomarker.
To analyze TSP50 expression in
different breast cancer cell lines and
tumor tissue samples to establish its
relationship with EMT.
To evaluate the functional impact of
TSP50 through gain and loss of
function experiments, observing
changes in cell invasion and
proliferation capacity.

Breast cancer, which is the second leading cause of
can- cer-related mortality, maintains to be a

Studies have shown that the p85 subunit attaches to
the p110 subunit and suppresses its catalytic activity
at rest or in the absence of stimulation
Discussion

TSP50 not only promotes epithelial-
mesenchymal transition (EMT), but also
potentiates cancer stem cell characteristics,
important for addressing tumor
heterogeneity and therapy resistance.
The identification of TSP50 as a key
regulator in epithelial-mesenchymal
transition (EMT) highlights its importance in
the molecular biology of breast cancer,
suggesting that its modulation could
influence tumor progression.

Conclusions
2.
3.
TSP50 could be a prognostic biomarker, as its
high expression is associated with worse
prognosis and could guide therapeutic decisions
in breast cancer management.
