Sense Organs Eunice Jane B. Ternio BEEd III-A Eunice Jane B. Ternio BEEd III-A

a part of your body (such eyes, ears, nose, or tongue) that you use to see, hear, smell, taste, or feel things the five main tools that humans use to perceive the world. What is Sense organs?

Five Senses

Eyes: Sense of Sight C an judge depth allow us to see interpret new information identify color

Parts of the eye helps to focus images onto the retina takes the light that eye receives and changes it into nerve signals where light enters the eye transparent window eyeball's outer coat connects the eye to the brain colorful part of the eye

Nose: Sense of Smell used to smell scents cleans the air we breathe and impacts the sound of our voice. and to taste the food you eat Smell also has the strongest connection to memory

Parts of the nose transmits the sense of smell from the nasal cavity to the nose space behind the nose where air that we breathe passes two holes of the nose where the air gets inside bones separates the oral cavity from the nasal cavity closes the nasal cavity from the oral cavity when swallowing

allow us to hear sound - to detect vibrations in the air particles around us Outer Ear: collect sounds Ears : Sense of Hearing Middle Ear: take the sound waves and turn them into vibrations that are delivered to the inner ear The Inner Ear: also helps us maintain balance and regulate sinus pressure

Skin : Sense of Touch spread through the whole body Nerve ending in the skin and in other parts of the body send information to the brain cold , heat, contact, and pain. It produces temperature-regulating sweat It forms a protective layer keeping bacteria and fungi out.

Tongue : Sense of taste Taste is mainly a function of the taste buds allow us to sense hot and cold in food and liquids. mouth is made up of the teeth and tongue It’s able to heal from injury more quickly than other parts of the body one of the strongest muscles in the body

Summary We see with our eyes we smell with our noses we listen with our ears we taste with our tongue we touch with our skin. the brain receives signals from each of these organs, and interprets them to give us a sense of what's happening around us
