of vivid and descriptive language
that appeals to the reader's five
senses (sight, hearing, taste,
touch, and smell). It creates a
clear mental picture and
enhances the reader's
understanding and experience of
the poem.

“HUNT THE IMAGERY!”“HUNT THE IMAGERY!”
For this task, you will be given a handout of the excerpts of some literary pieces
written by different authors. Your task is to hunt the words that represent the
sensory images in the literary texts and indicate what type/s of sensory image/s
is/are being used. Write them in a clean sheet of paper. Do the activity in 15
minutes. Afterwards, one representative from each group shall share to the class
and explain thoroughly why did you come up with those words and their
corresponding sensory images.
You will be graded according to this scoring rubrics:

Read William Wordsworth “I Wandered
Lonely As A Cloud”, a poem that uses
imagery. Underline the words that
