2. 1. Nasal obstruction which is usually bilateral and complete 2. pain in the nose severe and throbbing 3. fever 4. symmetrical swelling of the septum – dull purplish colour , tender CLINICAL FEATURES

3. 1. Incision and drainage 2 . Antibiotics, analgesics 3. Nasal packing COMPLICATIONS Spread of infection – meningitis, facial cellulitis, carvenous sinus thrombosis External nasal deformity – saddle nose deformity, columellar retraction Septal perforation TREATMENT
