SHARING ABOUT CAREER Tips from fellow alumni

Graduation is not the end of the journey, yet it’s a beginning of the new journey.. So, let’s prepare it wisely

What people usually do after being graduated? What do we need to prepare after graduation?

To do lists: Make a proper CV Register to trusted jobseeker portal/website Find the job opportunity while thinking about what you want to be in the future While doing the 3 above, you can also upgrade your skills (it can be soft skills or hard skills) Don’t forget also to build your own personal branding

How to make a proper CV?

Personal Statement/ Profile Summary Matters Make your CV clear, concise, and to-the-point Focus on your achievements Tailor your CV to each job you apply for Do and don’ts of writing CV: Having spelling errors and bad grammar Poor formatting Exaggerating the truth Too long CV Wrong contact information Using an inappropriate email address

Example of a CV format:

Trusted Jobseeker Portal/ Website www.jobstreet.co.id https:// glints.com /id www.linkedin.com www.glassdoor.com And many more….. Including multinational company website

To make yourself can stay relevant in the job market In some job roles, you need additional skills besides knowledge that you’ve got from the university To get certifications that might be useful for your career journey Why do we need to upgrade our skills and how? Why? Through LinkedIn Learning Online Learning Class/ Website, e.g Binar Academy, Revou , etc International Online Course Provider, e.g Coursera, edx , etc. How?

Your Brand is Yourself You need to ’sell’ yourself in the job market The easiest way is through LinkedIn Account Make an account, build your profile there Be mindful on everything you do, you write/post, as it’s seen as a branding of ‘YOU’ How to build Personal Branding?

What to prepare for the Interview? Never come to the interview without any preparation: do the research about the company, understand your job role and responsibility (that’s the minimum things to prepare) Don’t be late In case you can’t attend the interview due to force majeure, let the recruiter knows ASAP Dress properly, depends on the company culture ( Jobstreet usually tells you about this) Practice the interview Last but not least, be genuine!!
