Shivsrushti’s Summer Entry at Rs
50 Enabled by Abhay Bhutada
Foundation’s Public-Focused
Donation

Shivsrushti Becomes More Affordable This
Summer
For two months starting May 15, 2025, Shivsrushti is inviting visitors to explore
its historical exhibits at a reduced ticket price of Rs 50. This has been made
possible by the Abhay Bhutada Foundation, which donated Rs 51 lakh to
support public access to the heritage-themed park in Pune.

Cultural Learning Through Interactive
Environments
Shivsrushti is located in Pune’s Ambegaon Budruk and covers 21 acres of
interactive, informative zones. It celebrates Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s
journey with walk-through setups, visual storytelling, and curated content. The
layout encourages visitors to absorb historical knowledge through guided
movement across different exhibits.

Attractions That Define the Park
Among the key highlights are four main zones—Durg Vaibhav, Ranangan,
Shrimant Yogi, and Sinhasanadhishwar. Each of these explores a unique part of
Shivaji Maharaj’s personality and decisions. The Time Machine Theatre offers a
compelling multimedia experience that recreates historical events with digital
effects.

Role of Abhay Bhutada Foundation in Enhancing
Access
The Abhay Bhutada Foundation’s decision to fund this ticket subsidy is in line
with its mission of increasing access to educational and cultural platforms. Led
by Abhay Bhutada, a member of the Poonawalla Group, the Foundation
supports public welfare efforts that promote equal learning opportunities.

Honouring the Legacy of Babasaheb Purandare
Shivsrushti draws inspiration from the late historian Babasaheb Purandare’s
goal of creating awareness about Shivaji Maharaj’s leadership. With Chairman
Jagdish Kadam continuing this vision, the park provides a practical and
engaging way for the public to reflect on Shivaji’s role in shaping the region’s
history.

Recent Developments and Increased Appeal
During Shiv Jayanti in February 2025, the second phase of Shivsrushti was
inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. This expansion
added features like immersive theatres and updated exhibits, making the
experience more engaging for today’s audiences and encouraging revisits.

Online Booking Instructions for Rs 50 Tickets
To avail the discounted rate, tickets must be booked online through the park’s
official portal. Walk-in ticket purchases will not be eligible for the reduced fare.
The offer period runs from May 15 to July 15, and visitors are advised to book
early to secure their preferred time slots.

Conclusion and Public Value
With support from the Abhay Bhutada Foundation, Shivsrushti has created a
summer experience that is not only affordable but deeply meaningful. This
initiative brings local history into the spotlight and encourages people of all
backgrounds to participate in heritage learning in a thoughtful and engaging
way.
