Bible Verses On Forgiveness In Marriage
Bible verses on Forgiveness in marriage
The biblical perspective of forgiveness in marriage correlates with forgiveness in all relations. The
incorporation of spiritual angle of forgiveness allows married couples to have faith in marriage
restoration. The Christian principles advocate for forgiveness because of its negative effects stated
in Galatians 5:19 (acts of sinful nature). Galatians 5:22 lists the fruits of the Holy Spirit which are
the positive results of forgiveness. They include: love, peace patience, faithfulness, humility,
kindness, joy, gentleness, and self control.
The bible states that forgiveness is the power of the Holy Spirit for it draws love. In marriage,
prayer is a powerful tool of intercession between Christ our father (God). The example of how to
pray in our Lord prayer in Mathew 6:1 states ....Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who
trespass against us
A letter of Paul to the Ephesians in Chapter 4:31 32 ...Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger
brawling lander and every form of malice. 32: be kind and compassionate to another, forgiving
one another just like Christ in Heaven forgave you. We are compelled to love on another. Christ
took the form of man and went through all humiliation and further crucifixion, if He could still
forgive us for our sins, then who are we to hold grudge with our spouses?
Some of the hurt feelings are so deeply rooted in our hearts to an extend you feel forgiveness is not
an option. There is hope when you

Enron And Its Effect On Society
Throughout history and surrounding us everyday we see that money equals power. What we also
witness as a society, is that the more wealth acquired the more underlying corruption is involved.
While taking Financial Accounting here at Sacred Heart University, I am learning how money that
is earned and spent is recorded within a firm. An accountant within a firm has to be very exact with
numbers in order to make the correct statements for the company. In reality, if the accounting
department fails the entire firm fails. It is easy to see how companies manipulate their numbers in
order to increase profit for themselves. Money equals power and the more money coming in, the
more power hungry companies tend to get. The same principal happens... Show more content on

In the early 1990 s financial analysts studying Enron hypothesized that even though Enron was
selling some of its major assets, they would begin to experience a great amount of debt. For
example, Enron sold assets to a company called Azurix. Azurix was unable to live up to the
standards that would financially benefit Enron and over a short amount of time, led to some major
debts for Enron. This was happening with a lot of companies that Enron sold to and partnered up
with. Over time, Enron started losing a significant amount of money and had to figure a way to
quickly make it back.
In 1990, COO Jeffery Skilling made a choice that would haunt him forever. Skilling hired
Andrew Fastow to help with Enron s financial dilemma. Fastow s plan was for Enron to open up
limited liability special purpose entities. This meant that Enron would open up an SPE to hide
its debt and ownership so that on paper, Enron wasn t claiming all of its losses. The true benefit
of this was to maintain its stock price and to have the company appear to be growing, while in
fact it was hiding from the world that it was collapsing (Seabury, Investopedia). After years of
appearing to be growing financially, Enron was on top of the world. By the end of the 1990 s
Enron was named Fortune s, 100 Best Companies to Work for in America and America s Most
Innovative Company , six years in a row. Little did the public

Can Muscle Fatigue Analysis
CAN MUSCLE WEAKNESS LEAD TO PARALYSIS
At some point of time most of us observe tiredness and reduced power leading to fatigue. This
common complaint can be regarded as muscle weakness which is commonly heard of. But the
word weakness may be defined differently in different cases . A feeling of tiredness or body fatigue
can be coined as weakness. If a person is unable to move a certain part of their body , he could be
experiencing weakness. This weakness can be restricted to a particular area of the body such as
arms or legs or can be observed as full body weakness. Muscle weakness can be mild or severe,
temporary or permanent, reversible or irreversible.

of tiredness and fatigue rather than true weakness.
# MEDICINES :As a side effect or due to an allergic reaction , many medicines can cause muscle
weakness and muscle damage . Generally this commences as tiredness or fatigue . It can lead to
permanent changes if medicines are not stopped

Animal Lab Report
The purpose of this lab is to examine the internal organ systems of vertebrate that has similar
internal organ systems of a human. Additionally to be able to identify where organs of the
digestion, circulatory, and respiratory systems are located in a rat and their function according to
the rat s anatomy.
One is able to use rats as a specimen to study human anatomy, as the organs found in a rat such as
the heart, lungs, and the stomach, are also found in the human body. Furthermore, it has been
proved that humans has approximately 99% of the same DNA as rodents especially mice
(Speaking of research, 2016). Due to the similarly in DNA, rodents of any species become an
excellent model to see how a human body works internally.

For an example, Norway rats prefer to eat foods high in protein such as pet food and meat scraps,
while Roof rats prefer fruits (Rat s diet, n.d.). Other similarity between the species in their diet is
their desire to eat sugar and foods high in amounts of sugar. A difference between humans and
rats is the number of chromosomes they have. Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes, while rats
have 21 pairs of chromosome as evolution occurs faster in rats than they do in humans (Spencer,
2012). Additionally, rats can become the host for the tapeworm Taenia taeniaformis while humans
cannot. The Taenia taeniaformis causes the crystal formation in the rat s liver resulting in it
becoming enlarged. Another disease only rats can get is chronic progressive nephrosis. Chronic
progressive nephrosis involves the inflammation of blood vessels in the rat s kidney. The disease
is more commonly found in older male rats. A rat may get the disease through gender, genetics,
and by salutary factors such as protein content and total calorie intake in their diet (Quesenberry et
al., 2011) A similarity between the two species is the common diseases/disorders they can get such
as hypertension, cataracts, obesity and deafness (Melina, 2010). Finally, a vital difference between
humans and rats are body positions they natural use. A rat is a quadruped meaning they move on
all four legs, while humans are bipedalism, meaning they move on 2 legs instead of

The skill which I am going to discuss about is impulse...
The skill which I am going to discuss about is impulse control. It means regardless of what is
asked or done, one is unable to control the need to act upon something. In other words, impulse can
be described as an immediate action or reaction that is particularly evident in emotions. This is an
important skill in today s environment which can indicate the adaptability of an individual in an
external environment and potentially determine future success. For instance, if one is unable to
control his/her impulse and bursts out of anger at every occasion; that person may not be
emotionally fit to be successful because of the lack of self control on their impulses. In the EQ
report, the result indicates that I am rarely impatient and only... Show more content on

SELF REGARD: It helps to assess both external capabilities and internal strength. It is an
individual s ability to maintain a positive self view in terms of personality, self esteem, and
individual regard to other people, but maintain respect and decency in society with morals and
virtues. In the EQ report, the result indicates that I am self assured in my abilities to perform
responsibilities in various settings. Of course, it is a correct evaluation because I usually think
of the consequences of my actions upon others. I agree to anything with a full satisfactory level
by seeing the positive side alone. In my point of view, positive thought beats negativity. Rather
than dwelling on frustrations or things that cannot change, I will devise a plan of action and ask
others for assistance and advise to resolve the problems. For example, I asked my brother s
suggestion before selecting my course. He advised me to take an accounting course since it has
lots of job vacancies in Canada and it gives me a different experience in this field. Even though it
is totally different from my education background, I decided to do this course with full
satisfaction by seeing the positive side. I am sure it gives me the prospect of a very good career.
FLEXIBILITY: It is the ability to adapt to different people in different environments and the ability
to handle an unfamiliar, unpredictable or unforeseen circumstance with grace. Also it involves

Student Teaching Strategies Analysis
In order for students to be fully involved and motivated to learn, it takes a couple of outspoken
teaching strategies to make that change. Teaching strategies that are able to not only catch the
students attention but to keep their full interest. Teachers are to be providing an anticipatory set for
their students in order to project success in their students academic learning. Students who are
exposed to learning that is fun and interesting conduct a much better behavior and excellence to the
subject. Madeline Hunter, is very strong willed on never giving up on students, and I think teachers
need to build their teaching strategies around that motto. Teaching strategies need to be organized,
manageable, and constructive in order for students... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first most important priority of a teaching strategy is planning it in a daily agenda. Having
an organized plan will keep the teacher on tract and available to change some defects if needed.
Having an organized teaching strategy helps both the students and teacher to progress step by
step, and are able to use or go over any step without getting lost and confused. Starting the day off
with bell work is a great way to warm up the students brain and get them ready for a manageable
learning experience. By manageable I do mean a student centered group that can work
independently, and not be judged for their ideas and or opinions. The teacher needs to have a
performance and or learning objective that students can progress from in order to succeed
academically. Helpful teaching strategies have modeling assignments, projects, and or anything the
students are working with. Sometimes students need that visual example that will bring self
motivation to them knowing it can be done. Constructivism is built off of students learning
experiences, and leans heavily on the teaching strategies. Therefore a teacher must put in all her
effort in to her teaching strategies in order to project a successful learning

Koresh, born Vernon Howell, was born August 17, 1959 to a single mother named Bonnie Clark,
of 14, in Houston, Texas. His father was Bobby Howell with whom he never met. Koresh in his
early years reported his life as lonely and alleged that he was beaten by his alcoholic step father.
He struggled in school, was dyslexic, developed poor study skills, and also had a stutter that led
to him being put into special education classes. However, after he dropped out of high school he
later found his passion in the Bible and rock music. He eventually legally married Rachel Jones,

There was also speculation that Koresh was sleeping with girls as young as the age of 12. Many
accused Koresh of child abuse, where he would spank the children and beat them near death.
Child Protective Service began asking questions and drove out to the compound to investigate.
The investigation never found any wrong doing by Koresh, however, their concern was the gun
safety of the camp. Koresh had begun a small gun selling and trading business to try increase
income, which led to him stocking the ranch with guns and ammunition. This led to an
investigation of illegal possession of firearms and explosives by the United States Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF). He later said that the Lord willed him and the Davidians
to build an army of God . After a time of investigation the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and
Firearms decided that something needed to be done. On February 28, 1993, they decided to raid
the compound which led to the death of six Branch Davidians and four agents. Following the raid,
the FBI took jurisdiction because of the deaths by agents involved. This led to a 51 day standoff
where FBI negotiators communicated with Koresh inside the compound. They felt Koresh was
holding his followers hostage and delayed surrendering them because he claimed that he

Name Change Controversy Research Paper
Race in America 2014: The Washington Redskins
The Washington, D.C. football team, known as the Redskins, has generated controversy for years
because of its name and mascot. Some say that the name should be changed because the term
redskin is a racial slur that denigrates Native Americans. Others, including team owner Dan Snyder,
insist that the name denotes only the football team s proud history, and that changing the name is
unnecessary.
In September of 2014, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, a satirical comedy news program, aired
the following segment about the Redskins name change controversy:

Satisfied employees make for satisfied customers, and satisfied customers make for an ongoing
stream of revenue and profits for SAS. SAS s leaders recognize both the benefits and costs
associated with keeping employees satisfied. One of the most significant benefits for SAS is a
very low annual turnover rate. The company s turnover rate is less than four percent, as
compared to approximately 25 percent for the industry as a whole. This low turnover saves the
company about $70 million annually in employee replacement costs. (14) On the cost side, of
course, is the company s monetary outlay for the various programs. David Russo, the human
resources director, argues that the employee replacement cost savings more than pays for the
company s generous benefits. That s the beauty of it, says Russo. There s no way I could spend
all the money we save. (15) Perhaps of more concern on the cost side is the potential for
employees failing to perform. In commenting on the company s performance expectations for
employees, Goodnight says: I like to be around happy people, but if they don t get that next
release out, they re not going to be very happy. (16) Pondering the likelihood that SAS employees
would take advantage of the company s relaxed atmosphere, John Sall, co owner of SAS,
observes: I can t imagine that playing Ping Pong would be more interesting than work. (17) David

Power is a symbol of success that everyone wishes to obtain, both in one s personal life and in one s

concept of power, with the wardens and guards having the control in their hands. Without these
occupations, there would not be any enforced regulations, which are an essential component when
working with individuals like hardened criminals. Although authorityis needed, many horror stories

Acquisition Of ( Conrail ) Consolidated Rail Corporation
CASE: ACQUISITION OF (Conrail) CONSOLIDATED RAIL CORPORATION (50 MARKS)
Question 1: Reason for reference to Conrail as a scarce jewel ? (4mks) Conrail had its operations
within the Northeast market, a rail network that other rail companies were yet to explore. It
connected the Northeastern cities to the Midwestern and Southern cities. Even though Conrail
had a high cost position, the revenue it obtains relative per mile track operated is the highest,
giving it a high operating ratio, hence potential to increase income. For this reason, great
synergies would be created should there be a merger with CSX, Norfolk Southern or any other
rail company at all. Additionally, analysts view that either company that would get the merger
with Conrail might reduce business for the other company or lead to its collapse. This reference
as a scarce jewel is further exhibited in the wars that arose after CSX and Conrail announced
their intentions to form a merger. These wars are in form of the offers made to Conrail that ended
up in a lawsuit by Norfolk Southern to stop the Conrail CSX merger. Question two: Motives in

The Revolution Of The 1905 Revolution
One of the many questions that revolve around the 1905 Revolution in Russia is whether the Tsar
himself or other factors were responsible for the creation of the revolution. While all the passages
emphasise the point throughout that there was huge discontentment in Russia, the Interpretations
disagree as to the reason for this discontentment that formed the revolution. Interpretation A
persuasively demonstrates that the Tsar himself and his weakness as an autocrat was the main
reason for the Revolution. The argument is Passage C is also convincing to a large extent, but as
will be discussed, merely supports the view of A. Interpretations D and B are able to be severely
criticised, Passage D attempts to argue that the revolution was caused by the existence of long term
resentments against Tsarism. Passage B, on the other hand, attempts to argue that the revolution
was driven by the proletariat force. However both D and B, as we shall see, are unconvincing
arguments. It is difficult to contradict the fact that the Tsar and his own failings were responsible
for the 1905 revolution. More succinct Interpretation A agrees with the hypothesis and successfully
argues that the Tsar was the underlying cause of the Revolution. A argues that it was the Tsar s
decision to maintain the principle of autocracy and the fact that he lacked the willpower and
personality of [his] father which created the 1905 Revolution. A is correct to say that the Tsar

Essay on Visions of Utopia in Bellamy s Looking Backward
Visions of Utopia in Looking Backward
Edward Bellamy addressed many of the topics crucial to the development of a civilization in his
book, Looking Backward. In the story he addresses several different features of years past utopias.
Some being universal harmony, distribution of occupation according to individual aptitudes,
equality of reward, universal ease and comfort, reduction of hours of labor, suppression of
idleness, of competition, of the struggle for life, and also for money (De Laveleye). Many of these
topics Bellamy addresses in a positive manner; while others he does not.
In Bellamy s book, Looking Backward, a character named Julian West suffers from insomnia.
Because of his condition, he is put into a soundproof ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is simply human nature. But Bellamy has discovered a means of obviating this difficulty,
not yet thought of by his predecessors, which is to reduce the hours of labor in proportion as the
work to be done is less attractive (DeLaveleye). While this sounds quite good in theory, it is only
simply that. One could not put together so many shifts of workers of the more unpleasant jobs that
would be necessary to get the job done. In Bellamy s utopia, every effort is made to create fair
working environments.
Bellamy addresses punishments and rewards in his book. These two things alone are the most
powerful determinants of human actions. For punishment Bellamy writes, A man able to do duty
and persistently refusing is cut off from all human society. (Bellamy) While this leaves something
to be desired as to the actual nature of the punishment one can be sure that a man did not challenge
this in order to find out. For reward, Bellamy writes basically that honor is a good enough reward,
and that men will sacrifice everything for it. Bellamy addressed the simpleness of human nature
through his utopia (DeLaveleye).
Bellamy addresses what the American people are most proud of, efficiency in production. He
contends that capitalism resists technological advances, and that the periodical depressions that
they cause are unavoidable and cause widespread and intense suffering . Bellamy continues that no
effective system of regulating capitalism has been put into

crimehas stemmed from the needs of industrial Britain, and the increased awareness of the public,

The Tolpuddle Martyrs are a significant case in showing the increased involvement of the public in
speaking against the justice system. In 1834, members of the Friendly Society of Agricultural
Labourers were transported under an outdated law that prohibited the taking of oaths, when they
protested for a better wage. Perhaps what brought the most sympathy for the case was the fact that
their protest was peaceful, despite the history of violent protest among workers with riots and
groups such as the Luddites. The authorities were equally unsympathetic to this case as they were
to the other, more violent movements. Even after public interest attracted an 800,000 signature
petition, protesters were oppressed at a demonstration in Oldham. The public was aware of the
struggles of the poor worker, but the government still dismissed it; refusing to recognise the
desperate circumstance of workers and citing greed as the motive of the Martyrs. Clearly the case
had little impact on government opinions, with the treatment of the Chartists and the Rebecca
Rioters later in the same decade being the same. But an important contribution of the Tolpuddle
Martyrs case was the impact it had on public opinion, and the increased popularity of worker s
unions. This case might suggest that reform is unrelated to the attitudes of society at

Nero Impact On The Roman Empire
Emperor Nero, who was infamously known as one of the worst emperors, had a huge impact on the
Roman Empire in many different ways throughout his lifetime. Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus
Germanicus, but known by most people as Nero, was born on December 15, 37 A.D. to Gnaeus
Domitius Ahenobarbus and Agrippina the Younger. He was then adopted by his Uncle Claudius,
who at that time was Emperor. Nerodid have a couple obstacles in his way to becoming Emperor,
though. Eventually, Nero did gain the throne, and finally, it was his time to dominantly rule over
Rome, by being a cruel and oppressive tyrant, which established him just not only as one of the
worst emperors throughout history, but as the worst emperor throughout history. The historical
impact that came from Emperor Nero was through what his accomplishments were throughout his
rule.

Due to his death, and the fact that there was no heir to receive the throne, many generals began a
Roman Civil War to determine who received the throne. His persecution of Christians set on huge

pieces. His impact, everything that he did, amounted to a massive amount of oppression,
criminal activity, cruelty, slavery, and persecution. Nero was by far the worst emperor to ever
control Rome. Nero definitely had an impact on the Roman Empire, it just was not a good
impact. Nero s rise to power was a rocky road, which included his mother killing off Emperor
Claudius and his son, Britannicus; the two people in his way from the throne. His mother soon
meets that same fate when Nero became tired of her, which was only one of the many evil actions
that Nero took part in. These evil actions and the impact that he left solidify him by far as the

What Is The Source Of Injustice In The Prince And The Pauper
In The Prince and the Pauper the main source of injustice is from the monarchy that was
controlled by King Henry VIII during 15th century England. Tom Canty and Edward Tudor( the

because they thought that they each had what the other wanted. They were separated while Tom
Canty was posing as prince the king died and this put Tom Canty in power. The king has ruled a
monarch based on the belief of divine right. Divine right is when a blood line considered godly
by a group of people therefore that blood line can do what ever they want because God has given
the there blessing. There are several characters that rise above the limits of there society to
change it for the better. Tom Canty is one of the best examples of a character that rises above his
society to better the people around him. The first example of this is when he refuses to beg he is
better for it by his father but begging is agent the law. When he is posing as the king he pardons
many people of crimes that they were unjustly charged with. He is also very honest about knot
being the king even though know one believes him. When the real king shows up he gives him his

Masks Depicted In Paul Laurence Dunbar s They Wear The Mask
In society, people are constantly worried about fitting in and fear being themselves will hinder
their ability to conform to society. Many people fear that being themselves will have a detrimental
effect on their social life, and others feel that they are outcasts and that they need to be someone
they re not in order to be socially accepted. People often try to hide their true personality, and wear
a mask. To metaphorically wear a mask is to express yourself the way you want to be seen, rather
than how you actually feel. This instills the idea that one s own personality is not good enough,
creating a fear of being yourself, causing people to wear a mask. People wear these masks in an
attempt to navigate in society, to preserve innocence,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

How Does Disney Present Beauty In The Little Mermaid
Not only do you see the meaning of beauty that Disney presents in his protagonists, but his
antagonists too. Disney presents beauty trumps everything else is in The Little Mermaid. Ursula,
the antagonist of the story, is depicted as fat, ugly, and mean. This leaves you with the thought
that it is okay to judge a book by its cover. Without knowing the inside truth to Ursula, she is
assumed to be the mean one who takes something very valuable away from Ariel. In Snow White,
the old, unattractive woman tempts her to eat an apple that would kill her. In Cinderella, the three
step sisters and the step mom all have attitudes as mean as their looks. There s no proof that
Disney pushes girls to be overly concerned with looks, but it is definitely an underlying messages
in every one of the princess films.
The way the female body is presented in Disney produced films represents current socio cultural
assumptions of what the female body should look like (Johnson). These princesses reflect social

Euphemism Treadmill Cycle
Political correct language limits the use of offensive terms that promote conscious thinking about
how people stereotype one another. Politically incorrect language is demanding to many racial
groups such as Native Americans who are mocked through the Washington Redskins . Those with
special needs have also been affected by politically incorrectness because they feel out of place

Loan Portfolio Management
Loan Portfolio Management
Introduction
Background:
L ending is the principal business activity for most commercial banks. The loan portfolio is
typically the largest asset and the predominate source of revenue. As such, it is one of the greatest
sources of risk to a bank s safety and soundness. Whether due to lax credit standards, poor portfolio
risk management, or weakness in the economy, loan portfolio problems have historically been the
major cause of bank losses and failures.
Effective management of the loan portfolio and the credit function is fundamental to a bank s
safety and soundness. Loan portfolio management (LPM) is the process by which risks that are
inherent in the credit process are managed and controlled. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

An unregulated banking financial institution might be fraud with unmanageable risks for the
purpose of maximizing its potential return. In such a situation, the banking financial institutions
might find itself in a serious financial distress instead of improving its financial health.
Consequently, not only the depositors but also the shareholders will be deprived of getting back
their money from the bank. The deterioration of loan quality also affects the intermediative
efficiency of the financial institutions and thus the economic growth process of the country. This
the reason for which the banking financial institutions are being regulated in all countries. The
banking financial institutions are also the most regulated among all types of financial institutions in
all countries, because of their substantial role in payment mechanism (in addition to protect the loan
portfolio from decaying).
Portfolio management is crucial for commercial banks, be it in developed or developing
countries. Mere accumulation of deposits gives rise to entries both in liabilities and assets sides
of the balance sheets. So, portfolio management involves in both liability and assets of
commercial banks. If deposits of a bank grow at a steady rate and if loan demands can be met
from deposit growth, the bank will have no problem of liquidity. In real life, deposits do not grow
steadily all the time, nor does loan demand grow in keeping with growth in deposits.

The Execution Of Bardolph In Film
1. The execution of Bardolph in Act 3 scene 6 is a rather important scene. When King Henry and
the Duke of Gloucester enter the scene Fluellen tells them that the Duke of Exeter fought heroically.
King Henry asks about the casualties of the battle, Fluellen tells him that there was only one
Bardolph. Fluellen notifies Henry that he shall soon to be hanged for robbing a church. The reason
for this for his swift execution is because Henry gave a speech mandating his soldiers conduct
themselves in the highest of manners: We give express charge, that in our marches through the

In Donald Hedrick s essay War is Mud: Branagh s Dirty Harry V and the Types of Political
Ambiguity he is upset with the way politics is read in film. His reaction was generated from an
essay written by Elayne Tobin in which he finds her to be disillusioned. He believes she became
disillusioned by the film community always trying to say film exposes some bad faith, and
Hedrick is hesitant to so strongly believe Hollywood is really trying to represent the agendas of
the film community. As an example of how a film can be read for political ideas he examines
Kenneth Branagh s Henry V. In the first section Mud he looks at the use of and prevalence of
dirt. He claims it has more of a function than just making King Henry look like a tactical genius
for defeating the heavily armored French on a swampy muddy field. He believes Branagh s use
of dirt makes the film darker and the darkness harkens to the character of the real Henry V. He
goes on to explain how he his ruthlessness at the Battle of Agincourt. His ruthlessness has been
looked at as being a ruthless emotional act or that it could have been a strategy for the
outnumbered English. The mud calls into question the character of the King. In American Clean he
examines what kind of character King Henry is in Branagh s version. He established he is the
genuinely holy man with the capacity to be ruthless. The dirt is used to enhance the feel of a huge
power continually being held in check... He argues that the meaning

Eric Johnson Let Parents Be Parents Summary
In Eric Johnson s article Let Parents Be Parents, published by the Chronicle of Higher Education
February 5, 2017, he gives an overarching theme of simplifying the mechanics of college and
argues that less parental instruction is needed on campuses today. Johnson appeals to college
boards, educators, professors, and parents alike to help remake policy on campus. Johnson s
purpose in writing this article comes from the rise in complexity that college life has become. He
emphasizes that parents should be involved in their son s/daughter s college life, but suggests ways
to help eliminate academic bureaucracy, which would streamline parental involvement. Johnson
claims that parents are busy enough without having to traverse the difficulties of introductory
college processes with their sons/daughters and gives arguments to support these ideas. Although
there are flaws in his writing, over all Johnson writes convincingly, using plain speech with well
thought out word choice and rhetorical strategies which give him credibility in the eyes of the
reader about his ideas and arguments. Johnson does an excellent job of starting off his argumentby
appealing to the readers emotions. He provides a glimpse into his first impressions of college. He
shows that although his parents didn t help him register for college and were not there in person
holding his hand, they were supportive, loving, and he didn t turn out worse for wear. Johnson s

I Am A Doctor Who Works With Skin Diseases
Ever since I was in eighth grade, I have wanted to be a pediatric dermatologist a doctor who

would be interested in. Every time an adult would ask, What do you want to do when you grow

that these were not, and still are not, the most realistic career opportunities for me. When I was

started getting these weird bumps on the skin of my hands and feet. These bumps were not life
threatening, just uncomfortable and annoying, but I wanted the bumps to be cured. I went to a
pediatric dermatologist hoping that she could diagnose these bumps and cure them. Instead of a
cure or even a definitive diagnosis, I had to get two different biopsies that both came back
inconclusive and also had to try different ointments and creams that would only get rid of the
bumps for a little while if at all. This process of constant experimentation and uncertainty lasted
for a whole year and was very frustrating. Finally, my dermatologist finally told me that it was
possibly Granuloma annulare, which is an autoimmune disease, but that diagnosis was not
definitive. She said, You know that saying that if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it

The Christian Bible, the Hebrew Scripture, The Muslim Koran: Words are Not Important, Our

Matt 13:3 He told them many things in parables.
13:10 Why do you talk to them in parables?
That s the crucial question: Did God, should God, have intended direct and final communication

cleared anything up or gave us God directly. Wittgenstein, who wanted our language to be clear,

Heaven obviously contains no single, authorized publishing house. And what is now printed in
many instances existed first in oral tradition, that notoriously changeable and often obscure
medium. Some divine czar of communication should have allowed into written form only the
authorized versions, with clear Wittgensteinian definition of all terms. Any authoritarian dictator,
bent on preventing discord, could have done a better job, if put in charge of the divinities printing
house. Thus, as the source of a clear, single, religious creed, all sacred texts are failures. They were
too loosely compiled.
Our divinities either need a course in exposition and writing or they never intended to offer us a
clear text in the first place. In God s name, why not? For Heaven s sake, didn t they realize what
confusion would result from their laxity? Wasn t it Nietzsche who remarked: Isn t it strange that,

Although the scenarios presented in this comedy are far fetched, they do shine a light on several

Amongst these, wind energy production accounts for almost half (43%) of the global generating

significant indications that the benefits of SHM systems outweigh their cost. In this respect, one
should mind that stakeholders, managers and infrastructure operators need simple and reliable tools

Criminal Behavior Psychology
Criminal behavior is related to three factors, the psychological, biological and social variables.
Research demonstrates that the psychological condition of people influences their anatomy. The
connection health disorders and crime mind boggling, and the complications make up a significant
reason for crimes. Individuals who encounter delusions and hallucinations will probably partake in
criminal behavior. Mental health, for example, schizophrenia is connected to violence and crime.
The identity, cognitive capacity, and impulse capacity of people are likewise connected with
criminal practices. Criminal control approach concentrated on the psychological variables of people
utilizes measures, for example, preparing, advancements of mindfulness, rehabilitation, and

Different ideologies, for example, the behavioral theory, cognitive theory, and trait speculations are

Plus, taking back both Haywood and Varejao s contracts would have kept the team near the
luxury tax line. If their gamble pays off and Johnson plays well, they can try again in moving
him by the trade deadline for a better price. The End Game The Nets aren t going to win a

Black Churches Research Paper
Black Churches were extremely importan to African Americans from the years of slavery to this
very day. Although attending them was difficult for blacks, they became the core of African
American communities. The biracial churches the Awakening spawned had never embraced
African Americans on an equal basis with white people, and as time passed, white people denied
black peoplesignificant influence in church governance (pg. 101). Richard Allen and Absalom
Jones would lead a movement and gain permission to use a church at evening times to preach to
blacks. They would be forced out and need to establish a church of their own. White leaders would
try to take over control of Mother Bethel congregation until 1816. This resulted Mother Bethel
becoming the birthplace of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) (pg.... Show more content on

The most important black community instutions were the churches and they served as a building to
house schools and orginzations. Ministers would speak against slavery, racial oppression, and what
they considered weakness among African Americans (pg. 149).
After the Civil War, African Amerians organized their own churches and religious denominations.
The church was integral to the lives of most black people. It fulfilled spiritual needs through
sermons and music (pg. 319). These churches would also help the sick, the bereaved, and those in
need when they didn t even have the money to spare. The church service itself was the most
important aspect of religious life for most black congregations (319).
Just as black religion was the invisible institution that helped African Americans survive slavery, the
black church was the visible institution that helped hundreds of thousands of migrants adjust to
urban life while affirming a set of core values consisting of freedom, justice, equality, and an
African heritage (pg.

Parable Of The Sower
Introduction
As the world s population continue to migrate and live in urban areas, planners, engineers, and
politicians have an important responsibilities to ensure that they are livable and sustainable. But
what defines an urban area, and what makes it so attractive? In my opinion, urban area are
places that consists of a variety of land uses and buildings. Places where services and amenities
are easily accessible to the general public, with an efficient multimodal (i.e. rail, vehicles, bikes,
public transit, walking and etc.) established transportation network. As well, it should be a place
where people can play, learn, work, and grow in a healthy, safe, and collaborative manner. Based on
that definition, the novel, Parable of the Sower ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the novel, as the government fails to look after their towns, many corporations, such as KSF,
brought out many towns, such as Olivar. At first, corporate owned towns seemed ideal since
they offer jobs and protection, thus citizens in Robledo were quickly applying for spots.
Ultimately, Lauren s friend, Joanne, and her family got accepted to Olivar and she even said I
have to go. What else is there for me for anyone. It s all going to hell here. You know it is. (Butler
150). However despite Joanne s belief, Lauren, her father and Joanne s boyfriend were all
skeptical about Olivar since they contemplated that it is a trap and at ... the end is debt and loss of
freedom. (Butler 152). It was not until the end of the novel, when we met corporate town escapees,
Emery, that the readers finally learns about the truth about corporate owned towns. It was stated
by Emery that wages were paid, but in company scrip, not in cash. Rent was charged for the
workers shacks. Workers had to pay for food, for clothing new or used for everything they needed,
and, of course they could only spend their company notes at the company store. (Butler 330). As
well, to make matter worst, they don t have any rights or freedom, as stated by Emery

The Gnostic Gospels By Elaine Pagel
The Gnostic Gospels written by Elaine Pagel discusses the origins of the Christian faith and the true
reasons behind some of the Christian s beliefs. Pagel claims that the theological disputes between
the Orthodox Church and Gnostics in the early stages of Christianity were largely motivated by the
political struggle for leadership of the religion. Orthodox Christians supported texts and
interpretations to strengthen their goal which was to create an organization of believers. Gnostics,
who was not necessarily seeking authority over Christianity, were eventually overshadowed by the
supremacy of the Orthodox. Prior to the discovery of the artifact at Nag Hammadi in Egypt 1945
there were only had texts that support the Orthodox Christians belief, now historians were able to
fully evaluate the two groups in a new prospective. Some of the writings found in this newly
discovered artifact are believed to be the Gospel of Thomas and Mary Magdalene. Although Mary
Magdalene does not have a book in the current bible, it is believed by many gnostic Christians that
Jesuscame to her in spirit after his death and passed on to her the secret knowledge of
enlightenment. The new gospels that were discovered in Nag Hammadi doesn t emphases on the
birth or death of Jesus as the current biblical gospels do, but focuses more on Jesus life. Each
chapter is devoted to a major theological problem that divides the Orthodox from the Gnostic. Pagel
makes a compelling case that theological beliefs

Pros And Cons Of Xenotransplantation
Xenotransplantation is defined as The use of live nonhuman animal cells, tissues and organs in
human patients. (Fix, Megan. Fact Sheet on Xenotransplantation). There are pros and cons to
Xenotransplantation. Xenoplantation aims to increase organ availability, it has the potential to
open up new areas of research, and could end transplant list. The cons include high rejection rate,
moral/ethical issues, and transfer of diseases from animals to humans. After learning about the pros
and cons of Xenoplantation I believe that I am against it due to the ethical issues I have learned.
The pros of Xenoplantation include that xenotransplantation aims to increase organ availability, it
has the potential to open up new areas of research, and could end transplant list. The first pro
states that xenotransplantation aims to increase organ availability. In the Harvard University
article I read called Xenotransplantation: Can pigs save human lives? states that Xenoplantation
can increase organ availability by using pig organs as donors. Pigs organs are very similar to
humans and they would be readily available if needed. Second pro would be that is could open up
new areas of research. This is could definitely be beneficial because this would open new research
about treating illnesses meaning that different animals have individual ways of fighting infections
and through xenoplantation humans might be able to cure deadly diseases. Third pro is it could
end the transplant list. If xenoplantation has a positive outcome when transferring pig organs to
humans the availability of pig organs is much higher than human organs. This would help decrease
the organ transplant list and cut waiting time for patients. Those are the pros and here are the cons.
The cons of xenoplantation are high rejection rate, moral/ethical issues, and transfer of diseases
from animals to humans. High rejection rate is a big con because we already have issues with
human to human organs getting rejected. The human body rejects the organ from a recipient s
because of a protein called Human leukocyte antigen. Second Con would be the ethical issues that
come with xenotransplantation. The first moral issue would be with the animals, is it right to

sourcing pursued with a social purpose to effect change for communities of persons and

protecting shared resources by decreasing greenhouse gas and conversing water (Theroux, 1993,

reason for everything B J does is to effect social change. This is an organization which values
economic well being only as it is a supportive measure necessary to effect social change. As such,
it becomes clear that the organization s socially driven mission is their strategy. A strategy then
can be defined as a broad concept that guides the firm as a whole (as a whole business system) to

Jean Dubuffet s Anatomy
When a child draws, their art hangs on a refrigerator. However, when an adult imitates children s
drawings, their art hangs on a museum wall. Throughout Jean Dubuffet s art career, he expressed
this desire to emulated children s art. But not only children s art, he engrossed himself in the works
created by asylum inmates. When children and the asylum inmates draw, their drawings spawn
from a raw and natural place. Dubuffet connected to that naГ Їve way of expression. Also, he found
a barrier between himself and professional artists. In his mind, the production of art must emanate
in a completely spontaneous and immediate way .

When children select colors, not much thought is required. Understanding art fundamentals isn t a
genetic trait, one needs to observe nature, then they ll learn what the human eyes enjoy and don t

seem to bash children s capability, the intention is interpreting how Dubuffet comprehends children
s processes. When illustrating, a child displays a limited understanding of art rules because it s not
innate knowledge.
However, sometimes when a child chooses colors, it reflects an attraction to a lot of colors in the
same place. It s almost a natural attraction that a child conveys towards energetic colors. Still, this
innate action doesn t correlate with awareness. Children react to colors in a different fashion from
their elders and those called professionals. Especially if those professionals strive to create works

and cost, and a one stop shopping place for consumers that are not insured nor have sufficient
healthcare coverage.
First a little background history about the Healthcare.gov website. Right after President Obama
signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) into law in March 2010, which
is an individual and employer mandate that requires every person have access to an affordable
health insurance plan that is not based on gender or pre existing health conditions. The key to
making this program work is to get a large number of young uninsured to pay into an insurance
plan that will keep premiums low for the majority that are enrolled in an insurance plan, called
pooling , which is defined as grouping resources together to get the greatest advantage and limit
risk for all users in an insurance plan.
The hope is that young adults who are uninsured are between the ages of 18 and 34 who use fewer
healthcare services, will pay lower premiums and use preventive health care services to lower their
chances of needing high cost treatment in the future. The pooling of their premium payments is
expected to take care of the healthcare cost of an elderly adult with multiple healthcare conditions

The Boy Who Cried Wolf By B. G. Hennessy
Don t Lie to your Parents It s bad enough when you lie to your parents but its worse when you lie
to them about not going to church. I learned that you should not lie to your parents because no
one believes a liar. No one likes a liar because you never know if they are telling the truth. There
is a story about this called The Boy Who Cried Wolf by B.G. Hennessy where we learn that liars
are never trusted. After what happened a few weeks ago my parents won t trust me to go out
with friends again. It was an ordinary weekend. I woke up Saturday morning and went to work.
After work I could go home and do anything I felt like doing. Around 8 my friend Carlos texted
me and asked if I wanted to come over and spend the night. So at 9 when my dad and sister got

How Does Thomas Jefferson Use Ethos In The Declaration Of...
Thomas Jefferson s The Declaration of Independence shook the world when it was released on
July 4, 1776. Jefferson was in charge of draft the document announcing that the colonies have
severed ties with Great Britain. Jefferson s strong use of anaphora, ethos, and diction generates a
compelling document. Jefferson uses anaphora for the majority of the Declaration of
Independence . This is because he wants the grievances to be easily identifiable to the audience.
He starts off with To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world as a signal that the
following text is under the same idea (Jefferson 238). Jefferson then uses He has... to list each and

The Importance Of Poverty In Literature
The way things are written can have an effect on the audience drawn in. Most people are used to
generalized, every day vocabulary, as opposed to more complex and intricate words and
grammar. When reading an article, the easier the words are to interpret, the easier the article is
to read. However, this is not always the case. Sometimes, papers are going to be written using
more advanced vocabulary. They may even include data in the form of charts and tables. This is
when it gets harder for a general audience to read and interpret. It may be more accurate and
scientific, but is it too complex for people the comprehend? For example, there is a controversial
topic of poverty on the rise. Some people believe it is due to how one grows up, others believe it
is the lack of compensation, and some even believe it all deals with race. The two articles, What
Do We Think Poverty Looks Like? , written by Tracie McMillan, and, Poverty, Race, and the
Contexts of Achievement: Examining Education Experiences of Children in the U.S. South ,
written by Maryah Stela Fram, Julie E. Miller Cribbs, and Lee Van Horn, reveal thoughts on
what contributes to poverty. The difference is, these two articles are using two very different
genres. The scholarly article, written by Maryah Stella Fram, Julie E. Miller Cribbs, and Lee Van
Horn focuses on poverty and what social workers can do to minimize the effects. The writers of
this article chose to focus on an expert audience that have deep knowledge

Essay on Mammalian Kidney Investigation
Mammalian Kidney Investigation
Background Information:
The kidneys are dark red bean shaped organs that are a very important pair of organs that
perform many functions. The kidneys have a convex side and a concave side. They are each
about the size of a fist. The kidneys are located near the middle back of a human, just below the
rib cage, one on each side of the spine. One kidney is located below the spleen on the left side of
the body, whereas the other kidney is located just below the liver. The kidneys receive blood
from the paired renal arteries and the blood is drained into the paired renal veins. In a human
body, the kidneys process about 200 quarts of blood to sift out about 2 quarts of waste products
and extra water everyday. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Management of Human Service Programs
Management of human service programs 1.Develop at least one process evaluation measure and at

Department at Greenby Community Mental Health Center (Greenby) to display the program s
effetiveness and efficiency. The department is facing the problem of losing funds for their
operation. Accessing the needs for the human service programs is significant in evaluating the
success of the program. It involves determining the problems to be addressed by the program
thereby identifying the ability of the programmers in meeting the needs. The programmers can only
consider the program as effective just after determining the compatibility of the program to the
community problems. Accessing the needs will help the programmers in analyzing and diagnosing
any social needs that relate to the program. The programmers would have to state the actual
problem, analyze the scope of the problem and define the nature of the community needs with the
proper target intervention. The steps followed in needs assessment include the following:
performing gap analysis, prioritizing the activities according to their importance, identification of
the causes of opportunities and performance and the ultimate identification of solution and growth
opportunities (Unrau et al, 2007). Determining the role of the outcome in the evaluation will help in
identifying the effectiveness and the efficiency of the program in the

Argument Of Galileo Dialogue Summary
Galileo s Dialogue on the Two Chief World Systems uses powerful logic and simply described
concepts to overcome the Aristotelian bias of the populous and argue in favor of Copernicus
heliocentric view of the universe. Copernicus theorized that the earth, along with the other planets
in the sky, is in motion around the sun. The Aristotelian s geocentric worldview, that the earth is the
motionless center of the universe, was deeply ingrained into the minds of the people and the
teachings of the church. Galileo s argument had to be not only incisive and logical to have any
sway, but it also had to avoid offending or denying the ancient principles of thought proposed by
Aristotle. He walked this delicate line between educating the public and... Show more content on

In parroting the principles of Aristotle, they do not notice how much damage they do to his
reputation, how much discredit they bring him, and how much they diminish his authority instead
of increasing it (199). These men take Aristotle s good name and drag it through the mud by
claiming that every one of his sayings is absolute truth, rather than the best possible hypothesis he
could have made with his level of technology. By undermining the arguments of his opponents in
this way, Galileo frees himself up to defer to Aristotle s logical principles without invoking
quotations of his conclusions.
While Galileo holds little respect for those who take Aristotle s theories at face value, he shows no
lack of respect for the great philosopher himself. Galileo applauds the fact that Aristotle s works are
examined and closely studied, and only blame(s) submitting to him in such a way that one blindly
subscribes to all his assertions and accepts them as unquestionable dictates (200). Galileo s
arguments for heliocentrism would convince any layman of their truth, but his opponents are so set
in their ways that they would be unwilling to even listen to his concepts. When an opponent relies
on ancient words and does not use ration to come to their beliefs, it is impossible to use ration to
convince them otherwise. Galileo, in his effort to contest what his opponents consider incontestable,
