Production Title: Production Team:
Shot
No.
Shot Type Estimated duration

Description/notes (e.g. camera
movement, specific directions for
performers, etc)
1 Mid
shot
30 seconds This shot will start off with me
talking in front of the camera for
the first bit. It will come after the
intro and will look formal.
2 N/A 3 seconds The next shot will be a title card
stating storytelling which is the
point we will pick upon.
3 For me it will
be a
headshot for
the footage it
depends.
20 seconds This shot will be the first to have
a film featured. It will have
1978’s Halloween. The scene
where Michael meets Laurie,
and she falls off the banister. It
will also have me narrating on
the bottom left corner.
4 Head shot
from me
again and
differentiates
depending
on the shot
15 seconds The next shot will be a scene
from the horror film ‘the Vatican
tapes’ where Angela is revealed
to be the antichrist.
5 N/A 3 seconds This shot will be another title
card saying characters. Moving
onto the next segment.
6 Same
headshot
from me.
Characters
popping up
will be in
medium
shots.
30 seconds This shot will have various
transitions popping up upon the
screen. Whilst I’m still narrating
at the bottom. Characters such
as Michael Myers and
Leatherface will pop up as I am
saying the dialogue.
7 Headshot of
me at the
bottom.
Medium
shots and
headshots of
the footage
20 seconds I have now given the point to
classic horror for characters. So
here there will be footage of the
1933’s the invisible man where
he reveals himself to be invisible
to the people.
8 Medium
shots of both
Dracula and
Frankenstein
are shown in
the footage.
Headshot
me narrating
it.
20 seconds (10 seconds
per clip)
In these next few shots, I will
use examples of how classical
horror film antagonists have
fears, showing a scene where
Dracula is covering himself from
light and then other clip showing
a headshot of frnakenstein

Production Title: Production Team:
9 In a similar sense to the
previous shots the video footage
is shown to work in in sync with
what I’m talking about. Footage
will be including Peter Cushing
in’ The curse of Frankenstein’. It
will also include Christopher lee
in ‘Dracula’.
10 N/A 3 seconds Title card showing the words
dialogue. Moving onto the next
stage.
11 The footage
is a medium
shot and
then the
normal
headshot of
me talking at
the bottom.
10 seconds This shot will include ‘the
shining’. The scene where Jack
is chasing his wife up the stairs
with an axe. I chose this scene
because its powerful for the
script and well know.
12 Long shot of
the footage
and
headshot of
me.
20 seconds This scene will be me explaining
how modern horror films have
won awards for acting. This shot
will be Natalia portman doing
ballet in 2010’s Black swan.
13 Close up
shot of the
footage and
headshot of
me.
30 seconds The next shot that will be shown
will be Jordan’s peel’s ‘get out’.
The scene where a tear comes
down and he is being
hypnotized. This acting in this
scene is amazing.
14 N/A 3 seconds This shot will be a title card
saying the word music moving
onto the next round.
15 Headshot
from me and
with the
footage it
varies
depending
on which
point it is on.
20 seconds This next shot will be some
black and white footage showing
the behind the scenes of the
practical uses of how music was
made.
16 Medium
shots with
some head
shots thrown
in. Including
head shot
from me.
10 seconds This next bit of footage will be
from 2010’s insidious. It is the
seance scene where they are
gathered around the table.
There is no music present.

Production Title: Production Team:
17 N/A 3 seconds Title card introducing
cinematography being the next
stage.
18 Medium shot
of the footage
and headshot
of me
narrating
15 seconds This shot will focus on the dark
silhouette shot from the film 1917.
Even though this isn’t a horror. I
feel like it does the best job at
captivating the cinematography.
19 The
differentiates
within the
shot
10 seconds The footage present will be is from
the film sin city and it’s the shot
when Marv fights with cannibal
Eddie. This is to show the uses of
color in black and white that the
film presents.
20 Headshot
from me and
medium shots
for the
posters
12 seconds This shot will include the
transitions of the Halloween 1978
when comparing it to the 2002
resurrection version. The posters
are both present on the screen,
21 Shot
differentiates
because there
is a lot of
action but
there’s quite a
few long
shots.
Headshot of
me narrating.
7 seconds This shot will show busty rhymes
fighting Michael Myers in
Halloween resurrection. This is to
show the stillness that the series
was in at the time.
22 Headshot and
longshot of
footage.
Headshot me
narrating at
the bottom
14 seconds Then to make a comparison to the
previous one a serious scene of
when Laurie will first see Michael
Myers in bushes staring at her.
23 This
differentiates
depending on
how the shot
looks.
Headshot of
me narrating
it
10 seconds This footage will show the behind
the scenes of how the special
effects is filmed. I shall take an
example from the Stanley Kubrick
behind the scenes on his film ‘full
metal jacket’.
24 Headshot
from me and a
medium shot
of the
5 seconds This shot will be shown briefly at
the end. Its from a film called
birdemic. Where the CGI is bad. So,
it will be used as an example of CGI

Production Title: Production Team:
footage. birds attacking a group of people.
25 N/A 3 seconds This will be a title card going into
the next stage will be James wan.
These are just talking topics the
competition round is officially over,
but results won’t be given till the
end of the video.
26 Medium shot
of him sitting
down.
Headshot of
me narrating.
15 seconds To introduce the topic the first shot
will be an existing interview of
James wan getting interviewed for
Annabelle comes home.
27 This
differentiates
depending on
the footage
that is shown
on the screen.
20 seconds (10 seconds each) When giving out the various
examples that are similar Of James
Wan’s work. I’ll be using a clip from
2017’s IT. Where Georgie loses his
boat and in 2019’s pet cemetery
with the truck hitting scene.
28 The shots will
depend on on
the film that is
being shown.
30 seconds. (10 seconds per
clip)
These shots will show multiple clips
of the films that James wan has
directed. Including insidious, dead
silence and the conjuring 2.
29 N/A 3 seconds This will be a title card again
shifting the focus onto other
directors.
30 Differentiates
depending
where the
camera is on
the shot. Head
shot of me.
20 seconds In this next shot it will focus on Rob
Zombie. As I am talking about the
Halloween film that he had
directed. A small clip will be
featured of the young Michael
Myers killing the nurse.
31 Head shot
focus of me.
Medium and
head shot for
the footage
being shown.
15 seconds Moving onto a different point. Here
I talk about John carpenter. Talking
about the original Halloween film
that he had made. So, in this bit I
will just the section where Michael
Myers has the white cloth over him.
Pretending to be a ghost.
32 N/A 3 seconds This will be a title card of the
conclusion.
33 Results back to
a medium shot
of me being in
front of the
camera and no
footage of
existing shots
20 seconds This will be the last shot. It will
come up with a little transition
saying that classic horror wins and
then it’s just a goodbye from there.
