PURPOSE: pS
This course is designed to develop Signal Non-Commissioned Officers as a Signal lan
Digital Master Guner (S-DMG) and commander SME onthe operation, maintenance, wWoac 260
integration and traning ofthe Local Area Network (LAN), Battle Command Common work
Services (BCCS) and Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS) by providing cticl and en
ea eal tine situational awareness in the units integrated Digital Tactical Operations
Center (D-TOC) sence
COURSE SCOPE:
This five-week functional course supports the taining of NCOs to install, operate, and EEE

maintain the LAN integration with BCCS and ABCS Systems. Instruction will
encompess the following areas: Installation, configuration of routers/switches and
networking devices, Bartle Command Servers (BCS), Microsoft Office SharePoint FAS Cause
Server (MOSS), Microsoft Exchange Server, Active Directory, Structured Query
Language (SQL) Server, Domain Controller, Windows Web Services (WWS), System
Center Operations Manager (SCOM), and Virtual Machine Software (VMWare); Digital
common tasks 1 include Army Bande Command Systems (ABCS) Overview, Force XXI
Battle Command Brigade-and-Below (FBCB2), Command Post of the Future (CPOF)
integration and Blue Force Tracking (BFT), and a Capstone Exercise in which the
student must create and connect network devices, install and configure Microsoft
Windows Operating Systems (Server and Client), installation and configuration of
CISCO Router and Switches, integration of Maneuver Control System (MCS), Satelite
Transportable Trailer (STT) operations, Warfighter Information Network-Tactical
(WIN-D) operations, and Signal Flow.

a The S-DMG Course is 5 weeks in duration and is programmed to train 72 students
annually (six (6 iterations with optimum class size of 12 students). The Signal Digital

Master Gunner (S-DMG) Course prepares Signal Non-commissioned Offices with

standardized instructions required for assignment as a Signal Digital Master Gunner in a

Brigade Combat Team (BCT), This couse is structured in modules and lessons.
