Simple Past Tense Talking About Completed Actions in the Past

Sentence Structure Affirmative:Subject + verb in past form → She visited her grandmother. Negative:Subject + did not (didn’t) + base verb → He didn’t go to the meeting. Question: Did + subject + base verb? → Did you watch the movie?

Common Uses of Simple Past 1 . Completed actions in the past → I traveled to Spain last year. 2 . Specific time references → He called me at 8 PM. 3 . Series of past actions → She woke up, had breakfast, and left the house.
