Birth of The Weimar Republic The Weimar Republic was adopted on August 11 th , 1919. In its fourteen years, the Weimar Republic faced numerous problems, including hyperinflation (The value of their currency is worthless than it was), political extremism . The people of Germany blamed the Weimar Republic rather than their wartime leaders for the country's defeat and for the humiliating terms of the Treaty of Versailles. Because of the Weimar republic Germany lost its overseas colonies, 13% of its Territories, 75% Iron, 26% Coal.
Political radicalism and Economic Crisis Germany Fought war Largely on Loans and had to pay war reparations in Gold . This depleted Gold reserves. In 1923 Germany refused to pay. Germany started Printing paper currency it has produced that much money which led to the fall of currency. In April the 1 US Dollar was equal to 24,000 marks , In July 353,000 marks , In August 4,621,000 marks and at 98,860,000 marks by December. This Crisis came to Be known as Hyperinflation .
The Years of depression German Investments were totally dependent on short term loans largely from the U.S.A This support was withdrawn when Wall Street Exchange crashed in 1929 . On 24 October 13 Million shares were sold. This was the start of The Great Depression . Due to it, workers lost their jobs or given less wages,6 Million people get unemployed and people can be seen on the streets wearing play cards and it was written on it “willing To Do Any Work”.

In 1928 the Nazi party got only 2.7% votes but in 1932 it became the largest party with 37% votes. The main reason behind the success of Nazi party was that Hitler was a Motivational Speaker.
Hitler Goes to Prison Adolf Hitler led a failed attempt to overthrow the German government, called the Beer Hall Putsch . 🔹 He was arrested and sentenced to 5 years in prison , but he only served 9 months . 🔹 While in Landsberg Prison , Hitler was treated well—he had a private cell, visitors, and time to write.
Mein Kampf ("My Struggle") In prison, Hitler wrote Mein Kampf , a book about his ideas and plans for Germany. 🔹 He blamed Jews, Communists, and other groups for Germany’s problems. 🔹 The book promoted extreme nationalism and racism . 🔹 After his release, it became the foundation for Nazi ideology .
On 30 January 1933 President offered Hitler Chancellorship. having acquired power Hitler planned to dismantle the democracy. A mysterious fire broke out in the German parliament building In February. Civic rights like Freedom of speech, press and assembly that has been guaranteed by Weimar constitution were suspended Destruction of Democracy
The Nazi Ideology According to Nazi ideology only Aryan (The Desirables) were the finest race (Blonde Hair & Blue Eyes). And Jews, all other races were the Undesirables or not the most ideal groups to Hitler. Jews were the most hated within Germany.
