Role of social worker with youth The social worker should promote the social, emotional, spiritual and mental well-being of youth Social worker focus on generating opportunities for youth development Social worker should be able to connect youth with their communities and nation Social worker should build the self esteem of youth and should provide training on leadership

The social worker should conduct research and survey to find out the needs of youth and the necessities of youth for development and they should formulate programs A social worker should pressurize the government to take responsibility of youth and make youth accountable and responsible for country

Social work practice with women Women have been regarded as a symbol of spirituality. Yet, they have been treated badly and unequally to men Social evils such as dowry , sati- system , child marriage and female infanticide were widely prevalent in the early ages. The spread of education and self consciousness among women has led to their progress over the period

Government schemes for women empowerment Mahila E- haat- an initiative for meeting aspirations and needs of women entrepreneurs. It is an online marketing platform for women, where participants can display their products. It is an initiative for women across the country as a part of ‘Digital India’ and ‘Stand Up India’ initiatives

Beti Bachao , Beti Padhao –( Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter) is a campaign launched by the Government of India. It mainly targets the clusters in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand , Punjab, Bihar and Delhi. Aimed at eradication of female foeticide and raising awareness on welfare services

ONE STOP CENTRE( Sakhi ) -The Government of India is implementing One Stop Centre (OSC) scheme with effect from 1 st April, 2015. OSCs provide a range of integrated services under one roof including police facilitation, medical aid, legal aid and counseling, psycho-social counseling and temporary shelter to women affected by violence or in distress.

Working women hostels – known as Sakhi Niwas is to promote availability of safe and conveniently located accommodation for working women, with day care facility for their children, wherever possible, in urban, semi urban, or even rural areas where employment opportunity for women exist.

The support to Training and Employment Programme for Women ( STEP) – provide training in skills development to ensure employment opportunities to women and enable them to become self-employed entrepreneurs. Under this scheme, grants are provided to institutions and organisations (including NGOs) to impart training programme.

Narishakti Puruskars - is an annual award given by the Ministry of Women and Child Development of the Government of India to individual women or to institutions that work towards the cause of women empowerment The awards are presented by the president of India every year on 8 March international Women’s day at Rashtrapati bhavan in New Delhi

Role of social worker in women empowerment Facilitator : provide access to public facilities and social services; facilitate the provision of goods and services such as providing training; helping clients of productive age to find decent work; provide direct assistance in the form of capital or loans Motivator : provide advice, motivation, and problem solutions; offer support to clients who encounter problems; identify the problem faced by the client by direct probing

Assistant : support clients undergoing difficulties; assist on economic empowerment; provide information; and monitor the clients Educator: fostering intellectual and personal development, encouraging critical thinking, and preparing individuals for active participation in society. Advocate : raising awareness about social, political, or environmental concerns

Conclusion In the realm of social work with youth and women, professionals focus on addressing the unique needs, challenges, and opportunities these groups face. The goal is to create environments where both youth and women can thrive and reach their full potential.
