Definition Somato form disorders is a mental conditions that causes an individual to experience psychical bodily symptoms in response to psychological distress
Types of Somato form Disorder hypochondriasis disorder somatization disorder conversion disorder pain disorder body dysmorphic disorder
- Hypochondrians : is a disorder in which a person is preoccupied with the fear of having a serious disorder. - misinterpreting normal body function. They may believes that minor complaints are sign of very serious medical problem. Some people with hypochondriasis also have depression or anxiety it begin at any aye, most often in early adulthood,
Conversion disorder. Occurs when physical symptoms mimic sympothms of neurological disorder even though no neurological disorder is present symptoms may include: - paralysis - vision or hearing loss conversation disorder is generally the result of trauma and impacts a person’s sense and movement
Somatization disorder: is a disorder characterized by recurins multiple and current, clinically significant complaints about somatic symptoms They may experience a combination of headaches, Abdominal pain, sexual problem (issues)and neurological problems
Pain disorder
Body dysmorphic disorder Is a mental health disorder in which you can’t stop thinking about one or more perceived defects or flaws in your appearance a flow that appears minor or can’t be seen by others. But you feel so embarrassed ashamed and anxious that may you avoid many social situation.
Causes The exact cause of the somato form disordr remain unknown. However several or factors appear to paly a role such as Genetic or biological factors - Such as hypersensitivity to pain
Personality Type A negative personality or worrying types of personality. Inability to process emotions-an inability to handle emotional issues. Conditioned behavior person may sometimes transfer their emotional issues into physical symptoms because of the attention received and perceived benefit of being ill.

History of childhood sexual abuse Lower level of education. History of alcohol or drug abuse.
