•Meter
–Iambic Pentameter

What is meter?
•Meter: The recurrence of a pattern of
stressed and unstressed syllables.
•Foot: A basic unit of meter including two
or three syllables. The feet are what
repeat.
•Iamb: A specific type of foot with 1
unstressed followed by1 stressed syllable
•Iambic Pentameter: A meter where there
are five iambs in each line.
