MONOCLES GLASSES Monocle is a type of correcting lens used to enhance the visual preception in only one eye . to avoid losing the monocle, a string connected to wearer clothing at one end and, at the other end , either a hole in lens pr more often , wire ring around its circumference. THREE ADDITIONAL STYLES OF MONOCLES – 1 . Consists of simple loop of metal with a lens that was slotted into eye orbit <WORN IN ENGLAND 1830s ONWARDS > 2. Consistd of frame with raised edge like extension known as gallery. Gallery was designed help to secure the monocle in place by raising out of eye orbit slightly so that eyelashes would not jar it. <1890s> 3.Monocle was frameless . This style popular at beginning of 20 th century as lens could cut to fit any shape eye orbit <inexpensive>

Main difference is that today most monocle are newer retro frames that look like items make today . Just made for show and are used as part of costume .

PTOSIS CRUTCH GLASSES also known as < eye crutch > ptosis when muscle in upper eyelid struggles to open and close on its own < drooping eye syndrome > < non surgical solution to ptosis > Ptosis eye crutches are tools installed to existing eyewear that support affected eyelid ,enabling eyelid to stay open and allowing an individual to see. Ptosis crutch designed around the shape and contour of eye .it typically made out of metal wire .measurement must be first taken to determine the depth of ptosis eye crutch .

Not fit too tightly ,as this can lead to discomfort and an irritable experience Using these patient being unable to blink completely , which may lead to dry eyes . It should kept clean .mild soaps ,specific eyeglass cleaning solution and proper coating may help with maintenance .

Side protection required . Welding shield - . Constructed of vulcanized fiber or fiberglass and fitted with a filtered lens , welding shield protect eyes from burns caused by infrared or intense radiant light , they also protect both the eyes and face from flying sparks , metal splatter and slag chips produced during welding , brazing , soldering and cutting operation . . Face shield are used where you have a very high chance of exprosure to airborne substance . Face shield is not enough to protect your eyes by itself , it should be worn with approved safety glasses
