2. Who Are Adivasi ? Adivasi means original inhabitants or communities who lived and often continue to live close to forest.Adivasis belong to the Schedulde Tribes. Word “ Adi ” means of earliest timesor from beginning and “ Vasi ” means inhabitant or resident. There are many types of Adivasis in India such as Adiyan , Barda , Gond , Bhil , Iruliga , Koraga , Yerva etc…

3. Populaition Of Adivasi :- In the early 21st century the Adivasi population of India was more than 84 million, with the majority living in the northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, and Nagaland . Smaller numbers inhabit the hills and forests of central and southern India as well as the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

4. Types of Adivasis in India:- The most commonly known tribes of India are  Gonds , Bhils (or Bheels ), Santhal , Munda , Ahom,Khasi , Garo , Angami , Bhutia , Chenchu , Kodaba , and the Great Andamanese . Tribes Of all these tribes, the Bhil tribal group, as per the 2011 census, is the largest tribe in India.

6. Brief Information about Adivasi Live in India: - 2} Bhil The Bhil are one of the largest tribal groups, living in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan Fact:- The name is derived from the word ' billu ', which means bow.

Types of Adivasis in Gujarat:- There are thirty one (31) notified Scheduled Tribes in the state, which are as follows: 1 Rot. 2 Balat . 4 Bhil, Bhil Taviyad , Bhil Garasia , Dholi Bhil, Dungri Bhil, Dungri Garasia , Mewasi Bhil,Malivad bhil , Rawal Bhil, Tadvi Bhil, Bhagalia , Bhilala , Pawra , Valvi , Vasava , Vasave,Katara,Bhabhor,Charel .

8. Brief Information about Adivasi Live in Gujarat:- AHIR:- A hir tribal communities have traveled from Sind sand have settled in Morvi and Kutch in Saurashtra Gujarat. BHIL:- Bhil is the most populated Tribe community in Gujarat about 42,15,603.Bhil Tribe is one of the Dravidian racial tribe of Gujarat belong to Austroloid group of tribes. TALAVIA:- One of the subdivisions of the Dubla community which is numerically the largest section.
