Stages of a plant to grow

A seed is always produced from a fruit it takes place naturally or done by man. It is done naturally a when a animal such as a monkey eats a mango and throws the seed and that seed goes into the ground and due to the natural factors the seed starts producing root. Beginning of a seed

‘Dispersal of seed’ means to scatter seeds over a wide area. The same kinds of plants grow at different places because their seeds are dispersed to different places by various natural agents The seeds and fruits of many plants are adapted for dispersal in wide areas. Dispersal of seed

Dispersal of seed by wind those seeds which are light are dispersed by wind. for example maple, madar, cotton etc. Dispersal of seed by water those seed which develop fibrous coat can float on water and can be easily carried away water for example coconut and water lily etc. Methods of dispersal of seed

Dispersal of seed by animals those seeds which have hooks on them are carried away by animals or humans for example xanthium and U rena Dispersal of seed by explosive mechanism those plants which burst with a sudden jerk and then they scatter the seeds far away from the parent plant for example castor and balsam. Methods of dispersal of seed

The process in which a seed begins to grow is called germination of seed For example wheat, channa , maize ,peas, all the types of pulses are seeds All these seeds can produce when sown in the soil under certain conditions. Germination of seed

Steps for seed germination .

Plants getting sunlight Plants need sunlight for the process of photosynthesis

Structure of a seed

Flowers are the reproductive parts of a plant. The function of a flower is to ensure that fertilization should take place and to make male and female gametes. FLOWER

Structure of flower

It contains two parts filament and anther Stamen is the male reproductive organ of a plant

It has three parts stigma ,style and ovary. Pistil is the female reproductive organ of a plant.

The transfer of pollen grains from the anther of the s tamen to the stigma of the pistil is called pollination. It is of two types- Self pollination Cross pollination Pollination

The fusion of male and female gametes present in ovule to form a new cell called zygote is called fertilization. Zygote is the egg formed by the fusion of male and female gametes. Fertilization
