Forming - Team members learn about each other at hand. - Problems might arise in forming stage: unclear objectives uninvolvement , uncommitted members Confusion Low morale Hidden feelings Poor listening

How to manage these problems By introducing them to one another (quiet drawn and not left out). Good communication to ensure the team to understand and on what needs to be achieved.

Storming - A s members continue to work, they will engage each other in arguments about the structure of the group which often are significantly emotional and illustrate a struggle for status in the team. Problems might arise in storming stage : conflict over who will control the team lack of cohesion failure, inconsistency anger

How to manage this problems? clarifying work goals, individual roles and objectives. (so they become more focus) team rules such as collaboration and sharing maybe developed. (give clear indication why rules needed)

Norming Characterized by close relationship and cohesiveness. Problems might arise from n orming stage : opening risky issues members may begin to fear the inevitable future breakup of the group they may resist change of any sort.

How to manage these problems? requiring the balanced focus on people and work team members will feel more comfortable in their roles and in working with the others.

Performance a steady-state is achieved, where team reaches and optimal level of performance. Problems might arise from performance stage: easy to slip into a happy and lower-performing family t arget the people in an ever-increasing focus on the task at hand.

How to manage these problems? Leader must focus and control the members to prevent these problems from happening.

Adjourning - team members disband after finished doing tasks. - problems might arise in adjourning stage : Team members will feel depressed over losing camaraderie and friendships.

How to manage these problems Focus on wrapping up activities (farewell party, etc.) This requires the skills of change management to be deployed, for example in celebrating the successes of the past.
