1. What is Self Management? Self-management, also referred to as ‘self-control,’ is the ability to control one’s emotions, thoughts and behaviour effectively in different situations. This also includes motivating oneself, and setting goals. People with strong self-management skills are better in doing certain things better than others.
2. What is Stress ? Stress can be defined as our emotional, mental, physical and social reaction to any perceived demands or threats. These demands or threats are called stressors. Stressors are The reasons for stress. For example, you are too close to the exams but feel unprepared.
3. What are the different factors causing stress? There are total three factors that causes stress they are:- (A) Physical (B) Mental (C) Financial (D) Social You will get to know about them in the next slides

Stress Causing Agent- (A) Physical As Children grow up , they may seek more independence , may become conscious of their looks and also have to cope up with Hormonal changes. And professional have to Cope up with Issues related to general well being, health and hygiene of an individual. These factors can lead to low self esteem And may cause stress.
Stress Causing Agent- (B) Mental Students as well as professional can be left overwhelmed, if they are unable to handle the task assigned to them , properly and on time.
Stress Causing Agent- (C) Financial Financial stress or Stress Causing Agent can be defined as difficulty meeting basic financial commitments due to a shortage of money. Financial stress increases the risk of homelessness and can negatively impact an individual’s health and psychological well-being.
Stress Causing Agent- (D) Social Social stress can be broadly defined as a situation which threatens one’s relationships, esteem, or sense of belonging within a dyad, group, or larger social context.
4. Various ways to overcome the stress or Stress Causing agents 1. Exercise - Working out regularly is one of the best ways to relax your body and mind. Plus, exercise will improve your mood 2 . Deep Breathing- Stopping and taking a few deep breaths can take the pressure off you right away. 3. Eat Well- Eating a regular, well-balanced diet will help you feel better in general. It may also help control your moods. Your meals should be full of vegetables, fruit, whole grains, and lean protein for energy.
