Structural Dynamics Structural dynamics is a type of structural analysis which covers the behavior of a structure subjected to Dynamic (actions having high acceleration) loading . Dynamic loads include people, wind, waves, traffic, earthquakes, and blasts . Any structure can be subjected to dynamic loading( such as buildings, bridges, dams, and towers) .
Types of Loading Static Loading . Dynamic Loading.
Elements of a Vibrating System Mass. Spring. Damping. Exciting Element.
Types of Dynamic Loading Prescribed Dynamic Loading. (Deterministic Analysis) Random Dynamic Loading. (Non- Deterministic Analysis)
Types of Prescribed Loading
Characteristic of a Dynamic Problem No one or simple solution due to time variance. Response of the structure is not only due to the Dynamic loading but also due the acceleration imparted on the structure.
