Subliminal advertising

Introduction
From the Latin :
Sub : under
Limen : treshold, limit
in psychology :
Perception of an object (image, message, sound …)
at the limit of its appreciation by the person.

In concrete terms
The brain responds to visual and sound
stimulation.
Subliminal messages are based on the unconscious
(dreams, phantasms, fears ...).
Advertising is seeking the art of persuasion, each
message is very developed. Technology and
science are widely used to contribution.

Political's example
During his election campaign in September 2000, George W.
Bush was broadcasting a television commercial in which
the word "rats" was embedded just after a photo of his
political opponent Al Gore.

Cartoon's example
Disney has said that was the letters S - F - X phonetically abbreviated signature
in Anglo-Saxon for "Special Effects" of the special effects team.
This stands when viewing this sequence frame by frame: the letter "E" may also
well be an "F". It can therefore be interpreted as desired.
Misunderstanding? Clumsiness? Denied that aims to cover a "bad joke"?
The images have been modified at a later DVD release in 2003.

Cartoon's example
In the movie Bernard and Bianca, at the 38 minutes about
it, when the two mouses are flying in a can of sardines on
the back of the albatross, we can see a naked woman in
the window in the background.

Product's example
Camel, cigarette's manufacter, In the left front leg we can see the famous
"Manneken Pis" and a lion's head in the bump in the center, squint a
little your eyes and you will see.

Fear's example
During the tragedy the 11
th
of September, the second plane
crashed on the south face of the twin towers. Dense smoke was
going to cover the accident. At some point, the smoke forms a
figure which looks suspiciously like a devil.

Ways of control
Some organizations in different countries try to control.
The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) is an American
trade association representing the interests of broadcasters
and television.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent
agency of the United States government. The FCC works
towards six goals in the areas of broadband, competition, the
spectrum, the media, public safety and homeland security, and
modernizing the FCC.
The Conseil supérieur de l'audiovisuel (CSA) is the regulator of
broadcasting (television and radio) in France.
Of course there are others organizations.

Limits of the organizations
The difficulties of perception and to have
evidences
Put in practice, sanctions are almost nonexistent.
The management and areas of expertise of the
