History Sula Vineyards (or "Sula ") is a winery and vineyard located in the Nashik region of western India,180 km northeast of Mumbai. It was founded by Rajeev Samant in 1998. After the launch of its first wines in 2000, Sula expanded from its original 30 acres family estate in Nashik to approximately 1800 acres across Nashik and the state of Maharashtra. Sula introduced grape varietals such as , Chenin blanc, Sauvignon blanc, Riesling and Zinfandel to India. As of 2013, Sula Vineyards held a market share of almost 65% in the Indian wine Industry . Sula exports their wine in 30 countries.
Sula History:- 1996 - Setup their first vineyard with 5 acres 1999 - Sula’s first harvest 2000 - Produced India’s first Sauvignon Blanc & Chenin Blanc (White wine grapes variety) 2003 - Produced India’s first Zinfandel (Variety of red wine grape grown in C alifornia) & Introduced their first wine 2005 - Opened India’s first Tasting room at winery 2008 - 1 st edition of SulaFest , India’s premier gourmet music festival in vineyard Produced India’s first Riesling (German white grape variety) 2010 - Launched beyond, India’s first vineyard resort 2013 - First Indian wine listed at UK Retail Chain Marks & Spencer's 2014 - Dindori Reserve Shiraz rated #25 in Wine Enthusiast’s list of Top 100 wines of the year 2015 - Launched JANUS , India’s first 100% premium grape brandy 2016 - 1 st Asian winery to win Drinks Business award for Best Contribution to Wine & Spirits Tourism.

Production process of wine Production process starts with harvesting in the month of December. Around 500 farmers bring their grapes for processing .
