Define Organization Details
•In Details you can define the Organization’s Contact Information,
Alliances and Mission Statement.

Organization Profile - Locale Details
•On selection of the Primary Locale, the text, numbers, time and
date will appear in the selected language.
•The activity log of the work-items and comments will be as per the
Date Time Zone and Date Locale.

Organizational Calendar
In Organization Calendar you can specify non working days and
set timings to be followed by the Organization’s employees
during working days.
Default working hours and non-working days are inherited from
the Organization’s calendar into a new project. Modify the
inherited calendar and plan the project activities accordingly.
Resources also inherit the Organization Calendar which can be
modified and customized as their respective personal calendars
(in the Home workspace).

Defining Weekly Pattern
•Weekly Pattern lets you set default working hours in the Organization
Calendar. Working Pattern is enabled only on selection of Is Working
check-box.
•Specify working weekdays by selecting Is Working and entering the
working hours. You can exclude the official break timings in working
hours, for example 1 pm to 2 pm for lunch break.
•Example: For Monday select Is Working and specify working hours from
8 am up to 5 pm as 08:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:00.

Defining Weekly Pattern
•Example: For Monday select Is Working and specify working
hours from 8 am up to 5 pm.
•Working hours are split into 4 sections out of the maximum of 5
sections.
•Two breaks are excluded from working hours - from 13:00 to
14:00 and 16:00 to 16:20.

Set Exceptions to All, to view the list of existing Exceptions and Leave
Reasons.
Remove an existing Exception, through Delete.
Indicate if you are working on a leave by specifying Is Working and the

Managing an Organization Project
Request
Project Request process lets you follow an approval process
before the project is registered.
A Project Request contains all the details which go into
defining a project but requires approval through various
stakeholders set in the workflow routing to promote it as a
project.
Project Request approval routing enables
 the stakeholders in
reviewing
 project plan pros and cons, business impact, risks,
etc. before deciding to implement the Project.

Define the Project Request fields, custom fields and save the
details.
To continue project creation after the request workflow is
completed, Yes should be selected in the Create Project option.

Project Requests from Process
Templates
•The Process Templates available for selection is dependent on the Project
Type field selection.
•For Project Request based on process templates additional selections
required are–
Select the required template from Process Template list.
Select the WBS By option i.e. Work Breakdown Structure.
•Tailoring Questionnaire is available for Project Request only if the same
is defined in the base Process Template.

Add the resource requirements by selecting the role, clicking
Add Role and specifying the requirement duration.
You can opt to specify the duration of requirement in Person
Months (pm), Hours or Cost by selecting it from Show By.

Project Request continued.
You can modify the existing Project Request and the content
in its various tabs before routing it for approval.
You can delete, set a baseline for it and download Project
Requests.
On completion of the Project request workflow the Project
Request is converted into a Project.
After the project request workflow is completed, it is
available for initiating and gets listed in the Projects listing.
You will receive an email notification informing you about
this progress.

Defining an Organization’s Project
Organization Administrator/SEPG team can define projects at
the Organizational level as per the access rights granted to
them. The different ways to create a project/program/template
are:
Using a Process Template: Process Template helps to model
project/program/template so that a standard process can be
followed in projects of similar type.
Using a Personal or an Organization Data Template: An
existing project/program/template is saved as a template and
used while defining a project.
Without using any template: Define a project that can have its
own configuration.
You can also create Agile Projects for which the Agile module
will be additionally available to manage the project based on the
Agile methodology.

You can select WBS By option for projects based on Process
Template and decide the breakdown structure accordingly.
Copy from Template lets you define projects based on a data
template.

Sub-Organization
•Sub-Organizations are sub-sets of Organization and enable in
managing projects, teams, and other entities. In an enterprise,
projects and resources can be grouped on the basis of different
types of relationships under Sub-Organizations.
•Examples of Sub-Organizations
–A grouping of projects based on geographical location,
where each project group is a Sub-Organization to the
parent Organization.
–Based on hierarchical geographic association like the parent
Organization is Mac Asia-Pacific and the Sub-Organizations
are Mac India, Mac Australia, etc.
•Sub-Organizations give the flexibility to restrict reporting access
as well as need based data access.

Associate Organizations, Projects and
Resources
Define Relationships to associate Organizations, Projects and
Resources. For example, define a relationship for domain hierarchy
which will associate organizations on the basis of domains.
You can associate Parent Organizations like Financial Services with
Sub-Organizations like Banking, Insurance, etc through
Organization-Organization Relationship.

Associate Organizations, Projects and
Resources
•Associate Projects to the Organizations on the basis of a
Organization-Project relationship.
–Banking domain can have Projects like JP Morgan, BOA
Credit and KPMG associated with it and Insurance domain
can have Aegon and Metlife.
•Associate Resources with these Organizations (to which
Projects which are tagged) through Organization-User
relationship.
–Resource numbered 1 can be is tagged to Banking domain
projects for Financial Services.
–Resources numbered 2 and 3 can be associated with
Metlife and Aegon projects in Insurance domain
respectively.

Advantages of Relationship associations
•Relationships let you drill down on the basis of hierarchy in
Organizations, Projects, Resources as required for analytics and
reporting.
–For example you can drill down to view the data for JP
Morgan/BOA Credit/KPMG project for Banking domain in
Financial Services.
•Relationships associations also help in defining access
restrictions.
–For example, a resource tagged to a particular Sub-
Organization (Banking) can view the projects and analytics
pertaining only to that specific Sub-Organization.
–But if a resource is tagged to the parent Organization
(Financial Services) then she/he has access to all the
projects.

Organization-Organization Relationship
Organization-Organization Relationship denotes a parent-
child relationship between organizations. This is used to
denote the relation between Organization and Sub-
Organizations.
Each relationship type is unidirectional denoting a parent-
child relationship. When all organizations are related to
each other using the same relationship-type then the
representation will be a hierarchical tree structure.
 Whenever a new organization is created, it will be attached
to the root-enterprise organization node using the default
‘Reporting To’, Organization-Organization relationship.

navigate to Organization Relationship tab in Organization Profile.
In Organization Relationship tab, associate the Organization/Sub-
Organization with the defined Organization-Organization
relationship.

On associating Domain Hierarchy with Financial Services, you can
view Financial Services, its Sub-Organizations Banking and
Insurance and respective Projects.
You can utilize this Organization Relationship association for
managing related dashboard analytics and to grant/limit access

In Sub-Organizations Hierarchy you can view the default listing of
the Sub-Organizations below the Root (parent) Organization.
On selection of Organization > Sub-Organization Hierarchy, the
parent Organization i.e. Enterprise name is shown and below it all

An organization cannot have an Organization-Organization
relationship with more than one organization. i.e. Organizations
cannot have cyclic relationships.

Organization-Project Relationship
Classify projects/programs and associate them with the
organization through Organization-Project Relationship.
Typical Organization-Project relationship-types are
"Executing-Org" or "Sponsoring-Org".
Maintaining different Organization-Project relationship types
helps in drill down of data, and providing access limitations
project wise to respective team members/resources.
A project/program cannot have a particular Organization-
Project relationship with more than one organization.
However, a project can be related with multiple
organizations, each with a different Organization-Project
relationship-type.

•Selecting the default check-box while defining the Organization
Project Relationship will ensure that this default relationship
collates the Project Level Resource Plans into Organization’s
Resource Planning.

Organization-User Relationship
Resources can be classified on the basis of their association
with an organization. Typical associated relationship-types
could be "Belongs-to" or "Deputed-to".
When a user is created, an O-U association is made
automatically between the root Organization and the user,
through default Organization-User relationship-type “Belongs
To”.
Specifying one or more Organization-User relationship types
can assist in generation of enterprise reports requiring user
filtering, and in configuring data in dashboard components.

Organization-User Relationship
A resource cannot have a particular Organization-User
relationship with more than one organization. However, it can be
associated with many organizations, each with a different
Organization-User relationship-type.
Resource numbered 1 (Neel) can be associated with Financial
Services through Organization-User relationship named Domain
Based. Neel can have another Organization-User relationship –
Department with a Sub-Organization named Banking and so on.

Reports
Organization's dashboard lets you select metrics, plot charts
and view data across the organization. You can maintain the
security of Organization dashboards and restrict unauthorized
access.
You can enable security through the security icon available on
the Organization dashboards toolbar. This lets you control the
data displayed on the dashboard so that it appears differently
to each user.
View default and customized reports for tracking metrics
across the organization and also for specific organization
requirements.
