SWOT Analysis – The overview Swot analysis first use by Albert Humpfrey . Swot is widely accepted tool due to its simplicity and value of focusing on the key issues which affect the firm The aim of swot is to identify the strengths and weaknesses that are relevant in meeting opportunities and threats in particular situation .

Strength Competitive price Located in a strategic location. Fresh meat and groceries. Product were placed based on their categories. Strong brand. Has many varieties of products. Good management.

Weakness Plain layout. Sometimes one product mixed with another products. Narrow aisle. Trollies are sometimes cant work properly. The placement of the trolly and the information place too hidden. The stock of meat product sometimes incomplete. Sometimes the barcode of product cannot be scanned/not recorded.

opportunities The increasing of information technologies . The increased of society buying power . The increased of city development in Yogyakarta.

threats Competitor price and the quality of the products . The increasing of small retail to target small area consumer . The changing of consumer needs . Competitor inovation.

Strategic plan Cooperate with conventional banks. Increase consumer loyalty. Change the layout from the entrance. Focus on cosines. Use some notifier to anticipate long queue in cashier . Increase the effectivity of Hypermart mobile apps. If possible, Hypermart can focusing on high volume of sales so the price can be pressed more. Increase the effectivity of supply chain management. Rather than use barcode, Hypermart can try Radio Frequency ID.
