Summary
Industrial engineering is a science concerned with managing the
company's resources through time and movement studies and taking
into account the occupational safety and health requirements in order
to achieve the maximum possible profit for the facility. This research
was conducted through.
This research aimed to show this importance of this science and
codify it in the field of clothing, which needs to be applied heavily
due to the large number of variables in it and the intensity of the
productive labor in it
This research focused on three goals:
- The impact of industrial engineering applications on raising
the efficiency of garment factories
- The effect of industrial engineering applications on reducing
plant minute costs
- Industrial engineering applications and their impact on
employment turnover
This was evident through several doors as follows:
Chapter One: Industrial Engineering and its Applications,
The definition of industrial engineering, its history, activities and
functions, the interest of the industrial engineer and industrial
engineering, its techniques, the scope of its use and the return from
the use of industrial engineering in ready-made garment factories
and their applications in factories, how the job description of an

industrial engineer, and what are its technical and personal
specifications, have occurred in it.
Chapter Two: Work Study:
The research in this part dealt with what is called a study of work,
its importance in its use, the steps of studying methods, the reasons
for conducting them, how the work is measured, the goals of
measurement and its means, as well as what is the study of
movement and what is the study of time, as well as the effect of
studying work on reducing production losses and road engineering in
the garment industry.
Chapter Three: Productivity:
What is productivity, what is efficiency, how it is measured, its
types, the goal of increasing plant productivity, the benefits of
