Sparrows wearing gold crowns / talmud

King Solomon is the most
famous king of Judea

Legend has it that King
Solomon flew through the
sky on the back of an
eagle and inspected every
corner of his territory.

One day, as King
Solomon was flying on
the back of an eagle
from Jerusalem to a
faraway territory,

he became so sick
that he almost fell off
the eagle.

Then hundreds of sparrows
who were watching this came
over and supported king
Solomon so that he wouldn’t
fall.

King Solomon was grateful and said,
“I will give you whatever you want.''

The sparrows returned to the nest and had a
big discussion about what to get.

A vineyard where you can hide
forever, a pond where you can
drink water at any time, or ears of
rice sown in the fields so that you
always have food.

Among them, the following
opinion was made.

I have a good idea!

If we flew wearing golden
crowns like King Solomon
We should be proud and
cool!

All the sparrows agreed and reached a consensus.

The leader of the sparrows went to
Solomon and said,
“Give us a golden crown like the king.”

King Solomon said:

That's not such a good idea,
why don't you think about it
again?

But the sparrow leader repeated,
"Give us all crowns."

In the end, King Solomon
said, “It can't be helped''
and granted the sparrows'
wishes and….

bestowed crowns of gold on
them all.

The sparrows, who were given golden crowns by King
Solomon, flew proudly through the sky with great joy.

Until now, hunters had no interest in sparrows.

However, because the
sparrows wore golden
crowns, they began to
be hunted by hunters.

Most of their friends were shot down,

and the Israeli sparrows were reduced to the last five.

The last five fled
with their lives
and went to King
Solomon.

“We were wrong, we don’t need the golden crown anymore”
they said.

The golden crown was
removed from the sparrows.

The sparrows gradually regained peace.

And after a few years they were able to
return to their original numbers

The lesson in this episode is that you
shouldn't flaunt your wealth because
you're putting yourself at risk.
When you get money,

Don’t show it to people
Don’t tell people that
